    • Mets officially acquire Jesse Winker from Nats
Mets acquired OF Jesse Winker from the Nationals for RHP Tyler Stuart.

Advice: This trade was reported late Saturday by Jeff Passan and made official Sunday after Winker cleared his physical. The 30-year-old has had his best season since his days with the Reds with a ..257/.374/.419 slash along with 11 homers, 14 steals and 45 RBI. He should get a chance to play against right-handed pitching and does offer some fantasy appeal. Rotoworld Today, 6:50 am

    • Reaches 100-homer mark for career
O'Neill went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs, a two-run double and a walk in Saturday's 11-8 extra-inning loss to the Yankees.

Advice: O'Neill's second homer was the 100th of his career. Remarkably, he's produced three multi-homer games over his last seven contests, going 14-for-30 (.467) with 12 RBI in that span. The outfielder is up to 22 long balls, 43 RBI, 56 runs scored, three stolen bases, 15 doubles and a .275/.361/.564 slash line through 75 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm

    • Tosses two scoreless innings
Holmes (2-4) earned the extra-inning win Saturday over the Red Sox, walking one and striking out two over two scoreless and hitless innings.

Advice: Holmes had blown two straight save chances entering Saturday. He didn't have a lead to protect in the ninth inning of this game, but he kept it tied, and then stayed on to defend a three-run lead in the 10th. Holmes is now at a 2.74 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 45:11 K:BB with 21 saves in 28 chances this season. Despite some rough outings lately, his status as the Yankees' closer is not in question. • Dealt to Mets
The Mets acquired Winker from the Nationals on Saturday in exchange for right-hander Tyler Stuart, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker will bolster the Mets' corner outfield depth and could see some action at designated hitter on the occasions that J.D. Martinez is getting rets. In Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo, the Mets already have a pair of left-handed bats in the corner outfield, but McNeil could move back to the keystone to clear room in the outfield for Winker. After joining the Nationals on a one-year deal in February, Winker has hit .257 with 11 home runs, 14 steals, 51 runs and 45 RBI in 379 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm

    • Mets set to acquire Jesse Winker from Nationals
Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Mets have agreed to a deal for Nationals’ outfielder Jesse Winker.

Advice: The Mets were known to be in the market for a left-handed hitting outfielder, and it appears as though they got their man. No word yet on what may go to the Nationals in the return package. Winker, 30, has resurrected his career with the Nationals in 2024 — slashing .257/.374/.419 with 11 homers, 45 RBI and a career-high 14 stolen bases over 101 ballgames. The deal is still pending a physical and isn’t likely to be announced until Sunday. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:11 pm

    • Tyler O’Neill homers twice in loss to Yankees
Tyler O’Neill went 3-for-4 with two solo homers and four RBI on Saturday in the Red Sox’ extra-inning loss to the Yankees.

Advice: O’Neill got the Red Sox back into this one with a two-run double into the left-center field gap off Yankees starter Marcus Stroman to cap off a three-run opening frame. He also homered twice in the late stages of the contest, taking Yankees relievers Jake Cousins and Michael Tonkin deep in the fifth and seventh innings, respectively. It was his fifth multi-homer performance of his Boston debut and fourth time he’s accomplished the feat since June 17. The 29-year-old slugger is up to 22 big flies on the season and has turned out to be a phenomenal signing for the Red Sox after a couple injury-plagued years with the Cardinals. • Clay Holmes gets win in relief against Red Sox
Clay Holmes fired two scoreless innings on Saturday against the Red Sox to collect his second win of the season.

Advice: Holmes fired a scoreless ninth inning in a tie ballgame and came back out to protect a three-run lead in the ensuing frame, reeling off another sharp frame to preserve the victory. It won’t go as a save for fantasy managers, but it was an impressive outing in a big spot for New York, especially since he suffered his seventh blown save of the year less than 24 hours earlier. • Early exit with hamstring pain
Woo experienced discomfort in his right hamstring during Saturday's start against the White Sox but isn't expected to miss his next start, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. Woo allowed one unearned run on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts across four innings.

Advice: Woo was removed after 70 pitches and reported pain in his right hamstring, the same hamstring he strained in mid-June that required an IL stint. Saturday's start was Woo's third since being activated from the injured list and he's still expected to make his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come Friday against the Phillies. Still, considering the touchy nature of the injury, fantasy managers should keep an eye on Woo's status leading up to his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:51 pm

    • Bryan Woo exits with hamstring issue Saturday
Bryan Woo was removed from Saturday’s start against the White Sox after just four innings due to discomfort in his right hamstring.

Advice: It’s the same hamstring that landed him on the injured list earlier in the season, though the Mariners don’t appear overly concerned this time around. Manager Scott Servais told reporters after the game that he anticipates the 24-year-old hurler will be able to make his next scheduled start against the Phillies on Friday.
