    Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Buehler (elbow) needs at least one more rehab outing before returning to the rotation, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Buehler struggled in his rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday. He allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three across 2.2 innings. Roberts noted that Buehler's execution Thursday was "not great," and the right-hander will continue his rehab assignment until his command improves.     Julio Teheran struggled in his first start at Triple-A Iowa on Friday, giving up five runs on five hits over his 4 1/3 innings of work.

    Advice: The 33-year-old hurler struck out a pair of batters on the day while issuing one free pass. A few of the hits were very soft contact that happened to fall into the right place, but Teheran simply wasn’t great in the outing.     Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Friday that Walker Buehler (elbow) will make at least one additional minor league rehab start before joining the team’s rotation.

    Advice: The 29-year-old hurler struggled with his command in his latest start on Thursday, ultimately allowing two runs over 2 2/3 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City — throwing a total of 68 pitches.     Mariners’ manager Scott Servais told reporters after Friday’s rainout that Emerson Hancock will pitch the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Rockies.

    Advice: Duran is close to being sent out on a minor league rehab assignment, and could go out before the weekend is through if he wakes up feeling good on Saturday.     Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Friday that Duran (oblique) threw a 21-pitch bullpen session and felt no discomfort, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Duran was supposed to throw 20 pitches Friday, but Baldelli noted that the right-hander "wanted an extra one, so that tells you he's feeling good." It's another positive step for Duran, and he appears close to starting his rehab assignment. He started the season on the 15-day IL due to a right oblique strain he sustained in spring training.   • Undergoing Tommy John surgery
    Gipson-Long is set to undergo Tommy John surgery Monday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

    Advice: After having multiple doctors examine his elbow, the decision has been made for Gipson-Long to get UCL reconstruction on his right elbow. The right-hander started the season on the 15-day IL with a groin injury, and he was progressing in his rehab assignment before experiencing right forearm tightness.     The Twins reinstated Staumont (calf) from the 15-day injured list Friday and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: A left calf strain has kept Staumont on the sideline since Opening Day. He made three rehab appearances at St. Paul and will remain with the Saints after allowing three runs across 3.2 innings, though he could return to the majors if the Twins find themselves in need of a fresh bullpen arm later in the season.     Diamondbacks placed RHP Ryne Nelson on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow contusion.

    Advice: Nelson sustained the injury during Thursday’s start against the Giants after he was drilled in the elbow by a line drive off the bat of Mike Yastrzemski. He’ll miss at least a couple of weeks while recovering from the injury.
