      Advice: It sounds like the Cubs plan to play Pete Crow-Armstrong in center field more often after they recalled him from Triple-A Iowa on Thursday. The rookie infielder had a stretch in mid-April when he homered in five straight games, but in 37 contests since then he's slashed just .202/.296/.316 with two homers and a 38.6 percent strikeout rate.       Langeliers went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run in an extra-innings loss to the Rays on Thursday.

      Advice: Langeliers' 406-foot shot to left-center field in the third inning erased a 3-2 deficit as he left the yard for the second time in the last four games. The 26-year-old backstop's propensity for hard contact continues to serve fantasy managers well and make up for some of his other offensive deficiencies, and Langeliers carries a .768 OPS thanks to his 22 extra-base hits (eight doubles, two triples, 12 home runs).       Thomas went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Thursday's win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Thomas reached base and stole second in each of his first two trips to the plate while also coming around to score a run in the latter at-bat. The outfielder has been on a tear since returning from the injured list and is now batting .353 (6-for-17) through four games in May with three RBI, four stolen bases and four runs scored, swiping a pair of bags in back-to-back contests.       Lane Thomas stole two bases and scored a run in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday.

      Advice: Thomas continues to be one of the better stolen-base threats in the sport, and it’s worth pointing out that his 15 swipes have come in just 26 games. The speed has been there for the 28-year-old. Now, about that .212/.278/.327 slash line.     • Anthony Volpe aims to extend hitting streak to 22
      Anthony Volpe will carry a 21-game hitting streak into Thursday’s series finale against the Angels.

      Advice: Volpe can surpass Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte for the longest hitting streak in the majors this season with another knock during Thursday’s series finale in Los Angeles. The 23-year-old shortstop’s offseason overhaul to his swing and offensive approach have resulted in a robust .288 batting average to go along with six homers and 11 stolen bases. He’s recorded at least one hit in 21 straight contests since May 7. He’s a long way from Joe DiMaggio’s 56-game streak, but it’s an interesting wrinkle for fantasy managers to continue monitoring.       Shea Langeliers went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run against the Rays on Thursday.



      Advice: Langeliers isn’t going to provide a good average as he’s now hitting .211 on the season, but he has decent power for a catcher. The home run was his 12th of the season and he now has 29 RBI.

      Advice: Alonso managed to avoid any fractures after exiting Wednesday's game versus the Dodgers following a hit-by-pitch on the right hand. However, he is dealing with a painful bone bruise that will cause him to miss at least one start. Mark Vientos will handle first base Thursday while Brett Baty covers third base.
