    • Sharp outing against Yankees
Musgrove did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Yankees, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Musgrove blanked the Yankees through five before Juan Soto finally opened up the scoring with a one-out RBI double in the sixth that prompted Musgrove's exit after 87 pitches. Despite remaining winless since April 21, Sunday's start was an encouraging showing and one of Musgrove's best starts in what's been a tough season for him so far. The 31-year-old will carry a 5.66 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB (49.1 innings) into a road start against the Royals this weekend. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago
    • Goes deep Sunday
Verdugo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Verdugo ripped a leadoff homer off Robert Suarez in the ninth to bring the Yankees within three and extend his hitting streak to eight games. He's been locked in over the second half of May, slashing .308/.309/.519 with two homers, 11 RBI and seven runs over his last 13 games. He's making better contact this season as a whole, evidenced by his 10.8 strikeout rate, which is currently the fourth lowest in all of baseball. For the year, Verdugo has provided a steady presence in the lineup, slashing .261/.324/.431 with seven homers, 28 RBI, 26 runs and a 19:23 BB:K in 213 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:37 am

    • Plays catch
Eflin (back) was able to play catch Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eflin was placed on the injured list with an effective date of May 19. He was projected to miss two-to-four weeks when first diagnosed, so he'll need to make significant progress quickly to hit the lower range of that timeline. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 am

    • Joe Musgrove pitches well in no-decision vs. Yanks
Joe Musgrove looked sharp in a no-decision against the Yankees on Sunday afternoon, surrendering just one run on six hits over his 5 1/3 innings.

Advice: The 31-year-old hurler struck out five batters on the afternoon and didn’t issue a base on balls. He kept the Yankees off the board through the first five innings until Juan Soto broke through with a one-out RBI double in the sixth that chased Musgrove from the ballgame. The Padres would go on to score four times in their half of the sixth inning, but Musgrove wouldn’t benefit. He generated 10 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the day, registering a solid CSW of 29 percent. He’ll look to build off of this start as he carries a 5.66 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and a 44/15 K/BB ratio (49 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s start against the Royals in Kansas City. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm
    • Alex Verdugo slugs solo homer in loss Sunday
Alex Verdugo slugged his seventh home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees to victory over the Padres.

Advice: Verdugo tagged Padres’ closer Robert Suarez for his 351-foot (99.3 mph EV) solo shot in the ninth inning that pulled the Yankees to within three runs at 5-2. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 plus a strikeout and is now hitting .261/.324/.431 with seven long balls and 28 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm

    • Jose Altuve has two hits, SB in win over A’s
Jose Altuve went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base in a win over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Not many people are talking about Altuve, but he’s having yet another solid year with a .296/.353/.468 triple slash to go along with nine home runs, 20 RBI, and eight steals. He’ll always provide solid run totals while hitting at the top of the Astros’ lineup and is one of the most reliable players in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:02 pm

    • Continues power surge
Seager went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Seager had just two homers through the end of April, but his power swing has returned in a big way. The shortstop has clubbed six homers over his last six games and is now at 11 long balls on the year. He's also gone 13-for-37 (.351) during a 10-game hitting streak. Seager's surge has him up to a .258/.349/.447 slash line with 24 RBI, 25 runs scored, no stolen bases and three doubles through 49 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:40 pm

    • Corey Seager homers twice in win
Corey Seager went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in the Rangers 6-2 win over the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Seager is blazing hot right now with six home runs in his last six games after hitting just five in his first 43. There was never any concern with Seager’s bat, but it’s nice to see this power surge after a slow first month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:31 pm

    • Flirts with danger in save
Fairbanks allowed two hits and a walk in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Royals.

Advice: Fairbanks allowed back-to-back two-out singles to load the bases, but he got Bobby Witt on a groundout to end the threat. Despite the danger, Fairbanks turned in his seventh straight scoreless outing since returning from a nerve issue in his arm. He's allowed just four baserunners in that span. The 30-year-old has a 4.50 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 18:9 K:BB and five saves over 14 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:15 pm
