    Baty will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to serve as the 27th man during this weekend's series in London versus the Phillies, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

    Advice: Baty was optioned to Syracuse a week ago following a slow start but has gone 3-for-10 with two home runs in his first two games back in the minors. He will likely operate in a reserve role for the two games in London before being sent back down early next week.     Advice: De La Cruz, on the one-year anniversary of his MLB debut, turned a two-run Reds deficit into a one-run lead with a three-run blast in the third frame. The long ball was his second in three contests following a season-long 21-game homer drought. After tallying 13 homers and 35 steals over 98 games as a rookie last season, De La Cruz is nearing those marks with 11 long balls and 32 thefts through 63 contests in 2024.     Rendon (hamstring) resumed baseball activities this week and said Wednesday that he thinks he's ahead of schedule in progressing toward a return, per MLB.com.

    Advice: Rendon has been out since April 20 due to a left hamstring strain, but he recently began ramping up his activity by throwing and taking swings in a batting cage. The third baseman will next progress to jogging Saturday, which will be a significant test of the injured hamstring. While Rendon remains weeks away from a return, he indicated that he considers himself ahead of schedule, explaining, "I'm trying to push it each and every day.     Advice: No surprise here after Machado suffered a mild right hip flexor strain during Wednesday’s series finale against the Angels. The 31-year-old third baseman will presumably require a couple days off to rest and recover, but fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
