• Anthony Rizzo swats three-run homer vs. Tigers
Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer Saturday to help the Yankees to a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo extended the Yankees’ lead to 5-1 with a three-run blast off Casey Mize. The 34-year-old also singled, and the pair of hits bumps his average to .263. Rizzo got off to a poor start, but he’s starting to come around with an OPS that has gone up over 150 points over the last two weeks. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

  • Clay Holmes picks up four-out save vs. Tigers
Clay Holmes hurled a scoreless 1 1/3 innings to get a save Saturday against the Tigers.

Advice: Holmes gave up one hit while picking up a pair of strikeouts. This now makes 16 consecutive appearances to begin the year where he hasn’t allowed a run, and he’s already up to 11 saves on the season. Can’t do much better than that. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

  • Casey Mize surrenders five in loss to Yankees
Casey Mize gave up five runs over 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Mize allowed nine hits while issuing a walk. He allowed a three-run homer to Anthony Rizzo, but he dealt with traffic throughout most of the start. The 2018 first-overall pick sees his ERA bump to 3.98, and he now possesses a 24/7 K/BB. He’ll be back on the mound when he faces the Astros on Friday. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

  • Clarke Schmidt fans seven over five vs. Tigers
Clarke Schmidt allowed three runs while striking out seven over five innings to get a win Saturday over the Tigers.

Advice: Schmidt allowed a leadoff homer to Riley Greene, and then the right-hander allowed a pair of runs in the fourth. In between — and an inning after — the right-hander was solid while giving up four hits and not issuing a walk. The overall result is just so-so, but Schmidt looked better than the line suggests. He’s back on the bump. He faces the Rays on Friday, and Schmidt will take a 3.50 ERA into that matchup. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

  • Back to big club
The Giants recalled Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.

Advice: The move corresponds with San Francisco placing catcher Patrick Bailey on the 7-day concussion IL. Sabol has played 21 games in Triple-A this season, slashing .243/.378/.324 with three doubles, 16 walks, one home run and six RBI over 91 plate appearances with Sacramento. Sabol played in 110 games for the Giants last season and finished with a .235 average with 13 home runs and 44 RBI. He'll provide depth at backstop while Tom Murphy takes over as the primary catcher in Bailey's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 12:41 pm

  • Aaron Judge ejected for first time in career
Aaron Judge was ejected for arguing balls and strikes during Saturday’s game against the Tigers. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored before exiting.

Advice: That’s the first time Judge has been ejected from a game in his MLB career. Judge appeared to judge — pun intended — the pitch correctly, as the offering appeared to be quite a bit outside of the strike zone. Trent Grisham has taken over in center. It’s unlikely Judge will face further discipline. Rotoworld Today, 12:38 pm

  • Giants recall Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento
Giants recalled C/OF Blake Sabol from Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Sabol takes the place of Patrick Bailey with Bailey placed on the concussion injured list. Sabol offers some defensive versatility, but doesn’t have the offensive upside to be a fantasy option. Rotoworld Today, 12:20 pm

  • Day off Saturday
Rengifo isn't in the Angels' lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Advice: Rengifo will get a breather after logging a base hit in each of his last seven games and recording multiple hits in each of his last three. Ehire Adrianza will fill in at the hot corner and bat second. Rotowire.com Today, 12:03 pm

  • Josiah Gray (elbow) throws 35-pitch bullpen
Josiah Gray (elbow) threw a 35-pitch bullpen Saturday.

Advice: Nationals manager Dave Martinez told reporters that the bullpen session “went well.” Gray is expected to be cleared to face live hitters soon, and if the progress continues, a rehab assignment shouldn’t be far away. Rotoworld Today, 11:07 am
