• MJ Melendez homers, drives in four in comeback win
MJ Melendez hit a two-run homer and drove home four runs in a victory over the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Melendez got the Royals back into the game with a three-run blast off Bryce Miller to turn an 8-1 deficit into an 8-4 game. He drove in another run in the sixth on a fielder’s choice. Melendez has been a major disappointment with a slash of .167/.233/.339, but the 25-year-old is far from bereft of offensive talent. Expect better things over the final 90-plus contests. • Getting day off
Gurriel is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Gurriel will get a breather Friday after making five straight starts in left field. Jake McCarthy will slide to left while Randal Grichuk steps into right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:28 pm
  • Records fourth steal
Profar went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Profar is batting well lately, going 12-for-35 (.343) over his past 10 contests. His steal Thursday was his fourth of the season and his first since May 15. The outfielder is up to a .323/.418/.480 slash line with eight home runs, 38 RBI and 34 runs scored through 263 plate appearances, putting him on pace to shatter his career highs in nearly every category if he can maintain his current levels of production. • Logs steal in three-hit game
Tatis went 3-for-5 with a double, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Tatis has racked up nine hits over his last three games and is batting .449 (22-for-49) during his 12-game hitting streak. In addition to the hot bat, Tatis took advantage of getting on base Thursday by picking up his first steal since May 7. The outfielder is up to a .283/.356/.450 slash line with seven thefts, 10 home runs, 32 RBI and 41 runs scored through 66 contests this season, and he's been one of baseball's hottest hitters so far in June. • Resting Thursday
Colas isn't in the White Sox's lineup for Thursday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Colas registered his first hit in the majors this season during Wednesday's loss to the Cubs, and he'll now take a seat for Thursday's series opener versus Boston. Zach DeLoach, Duke Ellis and Gavin Sheets will start across the White Sox's outfield with Luis Robert in as the DH. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:36 pm

  • Back in majors
The Rockies recalled Toglia from Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday

Advice: With Kris Bryant (ribs) and Sean Bouchard (foot) headed to the injured list, the Rockies will call upon Toglia to add depth to their depleted outfield group. The 25-year-old owns a .505 OPS through 49 plate appearances in the big leagues this season, but he's slashed .277/.363/.571 with nine homers and 27 RBI since being sent down to Triple-A in late April. • Rockies promote Toglia from Triple-A
Rockies recalled INF/OF Michael Togilia from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Advice: The 25-year-old got a chance earlier in the season thanks to a Kris Bryant injury and it looks like he’ll get another one here. He has hit .106/.143/.362 with four homers, eight RBI, and a 20/1 K/BB ratio in 49 plate appearances and should not be on fantasy radars. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:05 pm

  • Homers in return to majors
Cabbage went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Advice: The 27-year-old was recalled to the majors Tuesday to provide depth while Kyle Tucker (leg) is sidelined. Cabbage drew the start in right field and hit seventh, and he tallied his first home run of the season in the fifth inning. Cabbage isn't likely to earn consistent starts even with Tucker unavailable. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:42 am

  • Gets on base six times
Ramos went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, four walks and a second run scored in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Getting on base six times will do wonders for the slash line, and Ramos' is at .304/.407/.511 after Wednesday's stellar performance. He has multiple hits in three of his last four contests and multiple walks in each of the last two games. The outfielder didn't have much of a track record in the majors over the last two years, but he's made the most of his opportunity in 2024 with five homers, 19 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base through 108 plate appearances. Ramos has earned a starting role in the corner outfield, effectively bumping Mike Yastrzemski over to center field to platoon with Austin Slater. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:49 pm
