    • Escapes with 15th save
Hader picked up the save in Friday's 13-12 win against the Twins. He faced two batters, allowing one run on one hit while striking out one.

Advice: Hader likely didn't expect to enter Friday's contest as the Astros held a 13-5 lead entering the ninth. However, Luis Contreras allowed three runs and then loaded the bases, forcing the call to the Houston closer. Hader allowed a grand slam to Carlos Correa to bring the Twins within one before fanning Manuel Margot for his 15th save of the campaign. The Houston southpaw now sports a 3.92 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 61:11 K:BB across 39 total innings while going 15-for-16 in save chances. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago

    • Aaron Nola strikes out eight in win
Aaron Nola allowed three earned runs across six innings in a win Friday against the Braves. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

Advice: Nola was fantastic in this one. His 21 swings-and-misses were the most he’s forced in a game this season and first time he’s hit that total since June 5th of last year. His vaunted knuckle curve stymied the Braves all night and Nola looked dominant despite the three runs. Rotoworld Today, 7:47 pm

    • Delivers quality start
Nola (10-4) yielded three runs on five hits over six innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over Atlanta.

Advice: Nola got through three shutout frames before coughing up a two-run shot to Austin Riley in the fourth inning. Ozzie Albies then knocked a solo homer in the sixth. It was the first time that Nola gave up multiple home runs since May 31 after allowing three in the entire month of June. He forced a season-high 21 swinging strikes, with 10 coming on the knuckle curve. He's delivered quality starts in nine of his last 10 outings, including four straight. During that 10-start stretch, the veteran righty has posted a 3.34 ERA while going 6-2. Nola will carry a 3.48 ERA into his next outing, which is currently lined up to be at home against the Dodgers. • Michael Kopech slams door on Marlins on Friday
Michael Kopech slammed the door on the Marlins on Friday night, navigating a tumultuous ninth inning to preserve a one-run victory.

Advice: The 28-year-old hurler picked up his eighth save of the season for his efforts. As always, it wasn’t easy for Kopech, as he allowed a leadoff walk to Xavier Edwards to bring the tying run to the plate. He battled back though to get Vidal Brujan to bounce into a fielder’s choice and Nick Gordon on a called third strike before allowing a single to Jazz Chisholm Jr. and an RBI single to Bryan De La Cruz. Not to worry though, as he bore down to get Josh Bell on a ground ball to first base to end it. Kopech now sports a 4.58 ERA on the season to go with eight saves in 12 chances. • Monster performance in win
Reynolds went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI and three runs scored in a 14-2 win over the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Reynolds gave the Pirates the lead on a two-run home run in the fifth inning then broke things open with a grand slam in the seventh. He hit .330 with six homers in June and has carried his power stroke into July with three long balls and eight RBI through four games. On the year, the outfielder is hitting .280 with 16 home runs, 54 RBI, 39 runs scored and five steals over 390 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:56 pm

    • Bryan Reynolds homers from both sides of plate
Bryan Reynolds went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI, and two runs scored on Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Reynolds was all over the Mets in this one. His two-run homer in the fifth inning pulled the Pirates ahead and his seventh inning grand slam broke this game open. It was the second time in his career he’s homered from both sides of the plate in the same game and he pulled his OPS up to .831 with 16 homers and 54 RBI. He is a perpetually underrated stud. The Padres reinstated Campusano (thumb) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Advice: A bruised thumb has kept Campusano on the IL since June 22, though he's managed to go 2-for-15 with four RBI in four rehab games at Single-A. He'll take a seat Friday while Kyle Higashioka catches for Randy Vasquez, but Campusano is slated to return behind the plate Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 5:03 pm
    • Padres activate Luis Campusano from 10-day IL
Padres activated C Luis Campusano from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: The 25-year-old has been shelved since June 21 due to a left thumb contusion. While he was activated, Campusano is not in the Padres’ starting lineup on Friday night, it’s Kyle Higashioka behind the dish. Eguy Rosario was optioned to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 4:51 pm
    • Returning from IL
Campusano (thumb) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Campusano has been on the injured list since June 22 due to a left thumb injury and has played four rehab games with Single-A Lake Elsinore, during which he went 2-for-15 with a homer and four RBI. The 25-year-old backstop said he will resume catching for the Padres on Sunday, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune, at which point he should take over for Kyle Higashioka as the Friars' primary backstop. Campusano has slashed .234/.282/.371 across 220 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:37 pm
