    • Swats key homer
Duvall went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Nationals in a 5-2 victory Thursday.

Advice: Atlanta was being shut out by rookie hurler Mitchell Parker until Duvall tied the score with his two-run blast in the seventh inning. The long ball was his first since he went deep in back-to-back games in late May. Duvall is still under the Mendoza line with a .195 average on the campaign, but he's taken on a near-everyday role in right field since Ronald Acuna was lost for the season due to a knee injury. • Impressive in win
Houck (6-5) allowed two runs on three hits and struck out nine over seven innings to earn the win Thursday over the White Sox. He did not issue a walk.

Advice: Houck carried a no-hitter through five innings, though the White Sox managed to tag him for one run in each of the sixth and seventh frames. The right-hander remains dialed in, having allowed just four runs over 27 innings across his last four starts. Houck is at a 1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 84:15 K:BB over 85 innings through 13 starts this season. His next start is projected to be a challenging one at home versus the Phillies. • Tanner Houck whiffs nine in win over White Sox
Tanner Houck recorded nine strikeouts and yielded two runs over seven innings on Thursday in a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Houck delivered a dominant performance at Guaranteed Rate Field, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning before finally surrendering a leadoff single to Lenyn Sosa and a run-scoring double to Zach DeLoach later in the frame to break up the potential shutout. He got 14 runs of support on 24 hits from Boston’s lineup to allow him to cruise to an easy victory. The 27-year-old righty has emerged as a reliable fantasy contributor this season, allowing three runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts so far. He’ll bring a stellar 1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 84/15 K/BB ratio across 85 innings (13 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Phillies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:52 pm
    • Duvall hits sixth home run in win Thursday
Adam Duvall went 1-for-4 with a two-run home against the Nationals on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Duvall’s sixth of the season. He’s still hitting just .195 on the year. Duvall was in a deep slump before his game-tying home run in the seventh inning. He still needs to show more at the plate if he’s going to be the everyday right fielder for the Braves in the wake of Ronald Acuna Jr.'s season-ending injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:07 pm

    • Playing catch
Manager Brian Snitker said Thursday that Minter (hip) has been playing catch with no issues and will pitch an inning at some point next week, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: The team has not yet determined whether or not Minter's next step will come during live batting practice or in a minor-league rehab game. Either way, it seems likely that the 30-year-old southpaw will be able to return to Atlanta's bullpen when eligible in mid-June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:44 pm

    • Sean Murphy back in lineup Thursday vs. Nationals
Sean Murphy (elbow) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s series opener against the Nationals.

Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging sign to see Murphy back handling the catching duties following a brief one-game absence after being hit by a pitch on the right elbow during the late stages of Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox. The 29-year-old backstop has been snake-bitten by injuries this season, but managed to escape his most incident with nothing more than a nasty looking bruise. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:44 pm

    • Returns to Atlanta lineup
Murphy (elbow) will start at catcher and bat sixth in Thursday's game versus the Nationals.

Advice: Murphy had to depart Tuesday's game against the Red Sox after being struck on the right elbow by a pitch and was then held out of action Wednesday. It will be just a one-game absence for Atlanta's top catcher, though, as he and his teammates take on Mitchell Parker and the Nationals on Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:37 pm

    • Laces three doubles Wednesday
Heyward went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Heyward was responsible for all three of the Dodgers' two-baggers in the contest, and he came around to score following both of his final two hits. The veteran outfielder has been swinging a hot bat of late, slashing .500/.588/1.143 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs, two RBI, a stolen base and a 3:2 BB:K over his past six contests. Heyward has played almost exclusively against right-handed pitching this season, notching just two plate appearances against southpaws. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:55 am

    • Reaches career milestone
Turner went 3-for-4 with a double and a run, reaching 1,500 career hits in Wednesday's 3-2 win against the Orioles.

Advice: Turner scored after doubling in the second inning, and he singled in his next at-bat for the 1,500th hit of his major-league career. The veteran has posted a modest .225/.307/.354 slash line through 202 plate appearances in his first campaign with Toronto, though he's maintained his usual solid contact skills with a 16.3 percent strikeout rate. Turner has added four homers, 20 RBI, 19 runs and a 10.1 percent walk rate. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:47 pm
