    • Shohei Ohtani goes 0-for-5 in loss to Giants
Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts on Sunday in the Dodgers’ blowout loss to the Giants.

Advice: We’re fairly confident he’s going to be just fine moving forward. There will be days like this, even for generational superstar like Ohtani, who launched his 26th round-tripper of the season during Saturday’s extra-inning win over the division-rival Giants. The 29-year-old slugger has gone deep nine times over his last 15 contests. Rotoworld Today, 3:37 pm

    • Chris Taylor homers, drives in two runs in loss
Chris Taylor went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and two RBI on Sunday in the Dodgers’ blowout loss to the Giants.

Advice: Taylor was one of the few bright spots for Los Angeles during Sunday’s one-sided smackdown at the hands of San Francisco, delivering one of this better performances of the season just a few hours after Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters he’ll be given a bit of a runway to make it work at third base moving forward. The struggling 33-year-old veteran went deep off Giants starter Spencer Bivens in the fifth inning before adding a run-scoring double a couple frames later. He’s still a long ways off from consideration as a fantasy contributor, even in deeper mixed leagues, but a strong few weeks could be enough to keep him on the roster in Los Angeles heading towards the postseason. • Expected to be activated Tuesday
Atlanta is expected to activate Minter (hip) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Advice: While making his third rehab appearance for Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, Minter tossed a scoreless inning. Assuming his left hip is feeling fine coming out of the minor-league outing, he should join Atlanta for the start of their three-game series versus the Giants. Daysbel Hernandez was optioned to Gwinnett following Atlanta's 4-2 loss to the Pirates on Sunday, creating an opening in the bullpen for Minter. Rotowire.com Today, 2:42 pm

    • Justin Turner drives in lone run for Blue Jays
Justin Turner went 1-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: The Jays offense was stifled once again. Turner’s RBI single was their only sign of life and he had three of the team’s six hard-hit balls on the day. The ageless Turner is sporting a respectable .251 average and .734 OPS. Rotoworld Today, 1:38 pm

    • Officially shut down for season
Triple-A Toledo placed Lange (lat) on its full-season injured list Friday.

Advice: The transaction confirms that the surgery Lange underwent this past week to address a right lat avulsion was indeed season-ending. Though the right-handed reliever is currently on the minor-league IL, the Tigers could recall him and place him on the major-league 60-day IL if the team needs to open up a spot on the 40-man roster at any point. Per Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press, Lange is optimistic that he'll be back to full health for the start of spring training in 2025. Rotowire.com Today, 12:41 pm

    • Ejected from Sunday's contest
Altuve was ejected from Sunday's game against the Mets, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Altuve grounded out to finish the seventh inning, but he was ejected for arguing that he fouled the ball off his foot. The 34-year-old went 2-for-4 with an RBI prior to being sent off, which is his fifth multi-hit effort in the past six games. Rotowire.com Today, 12:33 pm

    • Slugs 26th homer in win
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored while also drawing two walks in Saturday's extra-innings win over the Giants.

Advice: Ohtani took Spencer Howard deep in the top of the third to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead and later came around to score for a second time in the 11th after drawing a leadoff walk. The slugger is now up to 12 homers in the month of June, with nine of them coming over his last 12 games. Ohtani has also scored two runs in two of his last three games and has drawn at least one walk in eight straight. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am

    • Filling in for banged-up Laureano
Duvall will start in right field and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Duvall will make his fourth consecutive start in right field in place of Ramon Laureano, who remains day-to-day with a back injury. Over his previous three starts, Duvall went 2-for-11 with a double and two RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:26 am

    • Hits another key home run
Happ went 1-for-2 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Happ broke open a 3-3 tie with his two-run shot in the top of the eighth inning, the outfielder's 11th home run of the season. Two nights earlier, Happ had another big two-run homer, this time to break open a 3-3 tie in the 10th. Overall, the veteran is riding a four-game hitting streak, collecting the two long balls and five total runs scored during the brief hot stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 5:56 am
