      CJ Abrams checked out fine after being hit in the left hand/wrist area by a pitch during Friday’s loss to the Rays.

      Advice: Abrams stayed in for the duration of the game, but had X-rays done afterwards just to be on the safe side and they came back negative for any fractures. He should be in his customary leadoff spot in the Nationals’ lineup once again on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:59 pm

      Springer was removed from Friday's game against the Yankees due to a left hand contusion.

      Advice: Springer took a 93-mph fastball off his hand/wrist during the fifth inning. He remained in the game to run the bases and play defense, but he was eventually pinch hit for by Davis Schneider in the seventh frame. Precautionary imaging on Springer's hand came back negative for a fracture, and his ability to remain in the game immediately following the incident is a good sign he'll remain available for Saturday's contest.       George Springer was removed from Friday night’s battle against the Yankees after being hit on the left hand by a pitch thrown by Michael Tonkin.

      Advice: The Blue Jays announced that Springer underwent precautionary imaging on his hand that came back negative for any fractures.       Devin Williams (back) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Saturday.

      Advice: The 29-year-old hurler felt great after his first bullpen session, so he’ll continue to ramp up as long as he’s feeling good. He’s also tentatively scheduled to throw his first live batting practice on July 9, assuming that he doesn’t suffer any setbacks along the way.       X-rays on Rutschman's right hand came back negative, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports, but the catcher is not in Friday's lineup against the Rangers.

      Advice: Rutschman's throwing hand was hit by a foul tip early in Thursday's game versus the Rangers, although he finished the contest and even homered.     • X-rays come back negative for Adley Rutschman
      Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters on Friday that X-rays on the injured right hand of catcher Adley Rutschman came back negative for any fractures.

      Advice: The 26-year-old backstop injured his hand when he was hit by a foul tip during Thursday’s victory over the Rangers. Rutschman admitted to being a bit sore on Friday but said that he felt much better overall.       Williams threw 20 pitches during a bullpen session Wednesday and is scheduled for another 20-pitch session over the weekend, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Williams utilized his full arsenal during Wednesday's session and is on track to throw off a mound again this weekend.     • Accumulates six RBI in victory
      Springer went 3-for-3 with a pair of three-run home runs in Thursday's 9-2 win against the Yankees.

      Advice: Springer punished Yankees starter Carlos Rodon for two three-run homers in the first two innings to set the Blue Jays up for a big victory. The six RBI were a single-game career high for the veteran outfielder, who came into the contest with two home runs and six RBI over his previous 25 games combined.
