      Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo homer, two runs scored, and a walk against the Rockies on Saturday.

      Advice: Robert Jr. led off the sixth inning with a game-tying solo homer off Cal Quantrill, his nine homer of the season and seventh in June. He then drew a walk to lead off the eighth and scored on a base hit by Andrew Vaughn. Robert struck out to end the same frame as Chicago hit around the order.       Webb allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Friday.

      Advice: Webb had a rough fifth inning, but other than that, he was his usual steady self. With the Giants' rotation in shambles due to injuries, getting a longer start out of Webb is a positive for the team's situation. He's gone at least six innings in 10 straight appearances, posting a 2.86 ERA over 66 innings with a 61:14 K:BB in that span. That's just a bit better than his 3.12 ERA for the year, which comes with a 1.22 WHIP and 97:26 K:BB across 112.1 innings through 18 starts. Webb's next start is projected to be at Atlanta.       Logan Webb gave up two runs in seven innings against the Dodgers on Friday while not qualifying for a decision.

      Advice: Webb threw 62-of-93 pitches for strikes while walking three and fanning six. The right-hander gave up both runs in the fifth, and outside of that frame he was brilliant while lowering his ERA to 3.12 on the campaign. Webb isn’t immune to clunkers, but he’s been one of the best starting options in baseball since 2021. You already knew that, but it’s a good reminder.       Advice: Gilbert had posted back-to-back starts of eight shutout innings, so this was a small step back. It was an improvement on his previous start versus the Twins, in which he allowed a season-high eight runs over four innings in Minnesota on May 9. Since that start, Gilbert has completed at least six frames in each of his last nine outings, earning eight quality starts in that span. He's at a stellar 2.72 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 102:21 K:BB over 112.1 innings across 17 outings this season. Gilbert's lined up for a tough matchup versus the Orioles in his next projected start.       Logan Gilbert gave up two runs in six innings while not factoring into the decision against the Twins on Friday.

      Advice: Gilbert struck out three while allowing just four hits and no walks. The right-hander saw his streak of 21 scoreless innings come to an end when Carlos Correa socked a two-run homer off the right-hander to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead. Outside of that, it was another outstanding effort for the right-hander, and concludes a June that likely will see him win AL Pitcher of the Month.       Maeda allowed two runs on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out four during the loss to the Angels.

      Advice: Maeda was tagged with a two-run shot by Luis Rengifo in the first inning but settled in for a solid outing. In six starts since returning from the injured list, Maeda has registered a 4.71 ERA. That's helped lower his season mark to 5.76 alongside a 45:19 K:BB through 59.1 frames. Maeda hasn't earned a win since May 24 and hasn't finished at least six innings since May 1. He's in line for a road start against his former team, the Twins, next week.       Kenta Maeda didn’t qualify for a decision after giving up two runs in 5 1/3 innings of work Friday against the Angels.

      Advice: Maeda scattered six hits with a walk and four strikeouts. The only scoring blow was a two-run homer by Luis Rengifo, but outside of that the 36-year-old was solid for the majority of the outing. There haven’t been enough of those thus far in 2024, as even with the solid outing his ERA sits at an unhealthy 5.76. A chance to lower that is scheduled for next Thursday against the Twins.     • Triston McKenzie pulled in third against Royals
      Triston McKenzie gave up five runs in 2 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Royals.

      Advice: McKenzie issued the first intentional walk of his career to Bobby Witt Jr. in the third, though it was one of those in which the pitcher got to a 3-0 count and then put him on. The Royals went on to score three times afterwards, though things were probably trending in that direction anyway. McKenzie’s velocity has climbed some since the start of the year, but his results have been dreadful lately; he’s pitched just 7 2/3 innings and given up 12 earned runs and 11 walks in his last three starts.       McKenzie (3-5) took the loss Friday in Kansas City, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks over 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.

      Advice: The Cleveland right-hander closed out a tough month with this performance, failing to pitch past the third inning for the third consecutive start. Over five June starts, McKenzie posted a 9.33 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 19:15 K:BB across 18.1 innings. The 26-year-old is currently scheduled to face the White Sox at home in his next outing.
