    • Josh Jung (wrist) cleared to resume swinging a bat
Josh Jung (wrist) has been cleared to resume swinging a bat.

Advice: Jung remains several weeks away from returning to Texas’ lineup as he continues to work his way back from early-April surgery on his right wrist. He’s not expected to return until at least late June or early July, even in a best-case scenario. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Seager’s homer lifts Rangers over Diamondbacks
Corey Seager went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Seager sent his 12th homer of the season 407 feet into the right field stands to give the Rangers a 4-2 lead. It was a three-run homer for Seager, who upped his RBI total to 27 on the season, with 11 of those RBI coming in his last seven games. Seager has now hit safely in 11 straight games, and is slashing an impressive .287/.388/.644 on the month. Rotoworld Today, 7:30 pm
    • Eovaldi goes three innings in return from IL
Nathan Eovaldi allowed two earned runs over three innings in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After pitching a perfect first inning, Eovaldi ran into trouble in the second, allowing the first three batters he faced to reach base, with Pavin Smith doubling home Christian Walker to give the Diamondbacks their first run of the night. He would give up another run in the inning on a Eugenio Suárez sacrifice fly. He would only pitch one more inning before being pulled after 37 pitches, functioning somewhat as an opener for the Rangers after the team opted to scratch Dane Dunning from his scheduled start. It was Eovaldi’s first outing since May 2nd after he was placed on the 15-day IL with a groin strain. If he’s back on the five-game rotation, his next start would be scheduled for Monday against the Tigers. Rotoworld Today, 7:28 pm
    • Max Fried stymies Nationals’ bats in win
Max Fried threw eight shutout innings, allowing seven hits and striking out six in a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Fried has now allowed just one earned run over 17 innings in his last two starts. However, while he carved up the Cubs in his last time out, Fried managed without his best stuff on Tuesday. He had just nine whiffs on 45 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW on the day; however, the Nationals were only able to muster one extra-base hit and couldn’t capitalize on their seven hits. Aces are able to produce even when they’re not executing as well as they can, and that’s exactly what Fried did tonight. He’ll now take a 2.97 ERA into a start against the A’s on Sunday. • Suffers bruised leg
X-rays on Pasquantino's lower left leg came back negative after he collided with Byron Buxton during Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Pasquantino had to come out of the game after taking a knee to the shin in the third inning, but he appears to have escaped the incident with no more than a bruise. The Royals are officially listing the 26-year-old first baseman as day-to-day, though he may sit out a game or two as a precaution. Rotowire.com Today, 6:19 pm
    • X-rays negative on Vinnie Pasquantino’s leg
X-rays came back negative on Vinnie Pasquantino’s left leg.

Advice: Pasquantino is officially day-to-day with a lower left leg contusion. It’s a massive relief for the Royals, and fantasy managers, as the 26-year-old first baseman appears to have avoided serious injury following a collision with Twins center fielder Byron Buxton during Tuesday’s contest in Minnesota. It’s possible he’ll get a couple days off to recover, but is unlikely to require an extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 6:17 pm
    • Exits with apparent injury
Pasquantino was removed from Tuesday's game against the Twins due to an apparent leg injury, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: Pasquantino came up limping after a collision with Byron Buxton, who was attempting to leg out an infield single during the third inning. The Royals will take a closer look at their first baseman in the clubhouse and should offer an update on his status relatively soon. Rotowire.com Today, 5:40 pm
    • Vinnie Pasquantino exits contest with injury
Vinnie Pasquantino left Tuesday’s game against the Twins with an apparent injury.

Advice: Pasquantino appeared to suffer some sort of leg injury when Byron Buxton came into contact with him while attempting to beat out an infield single during the third inning of Tuesday’s showdown at Target Field. There should be an update on his status at some point shortly. Rotoworld Today, 5:38 pm
    • Facing pitch count in return
Eovaldi (groin) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, but Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said the right-hander will be on an unspecified pitch count, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: The 34-year-old suffered the groin strain during his May 2 start against Washington and will rejoin the big-league rotation without embarking on a rehab assignment. Eovaldi shouldn't be expected to pitch deep into Tuesday's contest given the workload limitations. Rotowire.com Today, 3:25 pm
