• Goes deep Friday
Trevino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in an 8-1 win against Boston on Friday.

Advice: Trevino homered in his final at-bat of the contest, taking Red Sox reliever Chase Anderson deep to left field. The long ball was the catcher's second in his past two starts and his seventh overall this season, putting him well on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 11 that he established in 2022. Austin Wells entered the campaign as the slight favorite for primary catching duties with New York, but Trevino has seized that role with a strong season at the plate, as he's complemented his homer total with 18 runs, 24 RBI and a .271/.319/.434 slash line through 142 plate appearances. • Salvador Perez exits Friday with knee discomfort
Salvador Perez was removed from Friday’s game against the Dodgers with right knee discomfort.

Advice: Perez exited Friday’s contest in the eighth inning and told reporters afterwards that he felt a tweak in his right knee earlier in the game when he stood up quickly to catch a high fastball from Royals ace Cole Ragans. The 34-year-old ironman will presumably head for some additional testing and imaging to determine the severity of the issue if he’s not feeling better this weekend. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment. Rotoworld Today, 5:57 am

  • Henry Davis exits Friday with possible concussion
Henry Davis was removed from Friday’s game against the Rockies with concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: Davis will continue to be monitored over the weekend and it’s possible he’ll require at least a precautionary trip to the 7-day concussion injured list to allow Pittsburgh to bring in some emergency catching depth. The 24-year-old former top prospect, who was a popular sleeper candidate this spring in fantasy drafts, has gone 2-for-17 with one homer and 11 strikeouts in six games since returning from Triple-A Indianapolis back on June 4. There should be an update on his status at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 5:56 am

  • Removed with knee discomfort
Perez was pulled from Friday's game against the Dodgers due to right knee discomfort.

Advice: Perez hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning to give Kansas City a 3-0 lead, but his knee caused him to come out of the game during the eighth. It's unclear how severe the backstop's injury is, but the Royals should know more before Saturday's contest. If he does have to miss any amount of time, Freddy Fermin would be the next man up as Kansas City's main catcher. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm

  • Shea Langeliers belts first career grand slam
Shea Langeliers belted the first grand slam of his big-league career on Friday night, unfortunately it came in a losing effort against the Twins.

Advice: The 26-year-old backstop got the Athletics’ offense started with a bang on Friday night, tagging Simeon Woods Richardson for a 408-foot (102.8 mph EV) four-run blast on the first pitch that he saw in the first inning. That would be hit only hit on the night, finishing the evening 1-for-5. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:44 pm

  • Exits with concussion-like symptoms
Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies after exhibiting concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: It's unclear when exactly Davis might have suffered an injury, but he was replaced behind the dish by Yasmani Grandal ahead of the seventh inning. Davis is in the process of being evaluated by the Pirates' medical staff. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:14 pm

  • Hits first career homer
Pages went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Pages opened the scoring with his first career homer, taking Hayden Wesneski deep in the eighth inning. This was Pages' fourth start over the Cardinals' last five games, though he's gone just 3-for-12 in that span. All of his starts have come at catcher, which has taken a chunk out of Ivan Herrera's playing time. Pages is slashing just .125/.231/.250 with seven RBI, four runs scored and one double through 39 plate appearances. With Willson Contreras (forearm) tracking toward an earlier-than-anticipated return, Pages may be on his way back to Triple-A Memphis before the end of the month. • Pedro Pagés hits first major league home run
Pedro Pagés hit his first big-league homer Friday against the Cubs.

Advice: In the top of the eighth, Pagés hit a ball to left at 102.5 mph with a 32-degree launch angle and got it just into the basket over Ian Happ’s outstretched glove. 10 minutes later, Patrick Wisdom hit a ball to the same area at 111.0 mph with a 33-degree launch angle and somehow came up just short. Pagés’ homer came in his 39th career plate appearance. He’s batting .125 while splitting time with Iván Herrera behind the plate for the Cardinals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:05 pm

  • Taking seat Friday
Campusano is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Mets.

Advice: He will yield to the hot-hitting Kyle Higashioka at catcher Friday. Campusano is slashing just .146/.203/.182 across his last 19 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm
