    • Willy Adames reaches three times in win over Angels
Willy Adames went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two walks in the Brewers’ 2-0 win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Adames drew walks in the first and third innings, then gave the Brewers an insurance run in the eighth with a base hit to drive in Christian Yelich from second base. After reaching three times on Wednesday, the 28-year-old ends the day slashing .240/.333/.430 with 12 homers, 52 RBI, and ten steals across 321 plate appearances. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago
    • Trevor Megill secures 15th save vs. Angels
Trevor Megill struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to record the save against the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Megill was summoned with a two-run lead in the ninth to close it out against the Angels. He made quick work of Los Angeles, needing only seven pitches to put them away with one strikeout for his 15th save of the season. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago
    • Giancarlo Stanton carries Yankees against Orioles
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and four RBI against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Stanton single-handedly brought the Yankees back in this one. First, his three-run home run off Yennier Cano cut the Orioles’ lead to 5-4 and then his ninth inning single off Craig Kimbrel sent this game to extra innings. The homer was his 18th in what’s been a tremendous bounce back season for the aging power hitter. Rotoworld Today, 8:14 pm

    • Kirby Yates secures 11th save
Kirby Yates pitched a clean ninth inning with a strike out in a win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Yates worked a pain-free ninth after struggling on Tuesday against this same Mets lineup in a tie game. He’s been one of the best closers in the league since earning the role in April with a sterling 1.03 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. Rotoworld Today, 7:53 pm
    • Lane Thomas scores run in victory over D’Backs
Lane Thomas drew a walk and scored a run on Wednesday as the Nationals triumphed over the Diamondbacks in Washington.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder worked a two-out walk off of Brandon Pfaadt in the sixth inning and then rode home on Jesse Winker’s go-ahead two-run blast. He finished the afternoon hitless in three at-bats. On the season, the dynamic outfielder is slashing just .228/.292/.386, though he has slugged seven homers and stolen 16 bases (in 20 attempts). • Christian Walker scores lone run in loss to Nats
Christian Walker went 1-for-4 and scored the Diamondbacks’ lone run in Wednesday’s loss to the Nationals.

Advice: The only run that the Diamondbacks were able to scratch out against Patrick Corbin and company on Wednesday afternoon came as Gabriel Moreno worked a bases-loaded walk in the third inning that allowed Walker to score. The 33-year-old slugger has been a force in the middle of the Diamondbacks’ lineup once again this season — slashing .255/.333/.475 with 16 homers, 49 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. • Aiming for Saturday return
Arenado (elbow) said after Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins that he expects to return to the lineup Saturday versus the Giants in St. Louis, Paige Leckie of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Arenado was lifted for a pinch runner in the top of the eighth inning after he took a 94 mile-per-hour sinker to his right elbow in his fourth plate appearance of the afternoon. Before departing, Arenado went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored. Though Arenado has been diagnosed with a bruised right elbow after initial X-rays returned negative, he noted that the pitch hit him in a nerve in the elbow that caused his hand to cramp up. Based on his postgame comments, Arenado already seems to be ruling himself out for Thursday's series opener with the Giants at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala., but he's counting on being ready to go coming out of Friday's off day. • Nolan Arenado (elbow) hopes to return on Saturday
Nolan Arenado (elbow) is hopeful that he’ll be able to return to action on Saturday.

Advice: That means that he won’t play on Thursday for sure, while Saturday is still up in the air depending on how the next couple of days go. Arenado was clipped by a pitch on Wednesday that hit a nerve in his elbow, which caused his hand to cramp up. When he’s able to return will depend on when he regains full feeling in that hand. • Giving way to Haniger on Wednesday
Garver is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Garver and Mitch Haniger seem to have settled into a timeshare at the designated-hitter spot of late, and it'll be the latter's turn to start Wednesday after Garver was included in the lineup for Tuesday's 8-5 win. The Mariners should have room for both players in the starting nine versus left-handed pitching, but neither of the two appears to be locked into a full-time role versus righties at the moment.
