    • Corbin Carroll doubles twice in loss to White Sox
Corbin Carroll hit two doubles while scoring twice in a loss to the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Carroll was one of the few hitters who had any success against Erick Fedde and the White Sox bullpen, and he scored the only two runs in the contest for the D-Backs. It’s nice to see some extra-base hits from the 23-year-old, as he had picked up just three of them this month prior to Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm

    • Grabs four-out save
Jansen pitched 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Greg Weissert was shaky in the eighth inning, but Jansen was able to get the last out of the frame with runners on the corners. The Red Sox added some insurance in the bottom of the eighth, and Jansen slammed the door in the ninth. The right-hander is up to 11 saves this season, though he has picked up just two of them over four appearances in June. For the season, he's been reliable with a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 30:11 K:BB over 23 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:57 pm

    • Trevor Megill snags 12th save
Trevor Megill closed out a 3-1 win over the Reds for his 12th save of the season.

Advice: It wasn’t a flawless inning for Megill, who did allow a walk, a hit, and a run; however, he got the job done. He now has a 2.25 ERA on the season and has been a steadying presence for the Brewers at the end of games. Even though he will lose his job as closer when Devin Williams returns, he’ll remain a valuable reliever for the Brewers and needs to simply be held in fantasy leagues because you’re unlikely to get much trying to trade him away when everybody knows his time accruing saves is coming to a close within the month. • Kenley Jansen locks down four-out save on Saturday
Kenley Jansen picked up his 11th save of the season on Saturday night, recording the final four outs against the Yankees.

Advice: Jansen came on to put out a fire in the eighth inning with two men on and two outs with the Red Sox clinging to a two-run advantage. He got Anthony Volpe to fly out to right field to end the threat — then returned to work a perfect ninth inning to close it out. On the season, Jansen now holds a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 30/11 K/BB ratio (23 innings) to go along with a pair of saves and two victories. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm

    • Secures save Saturday
Megill notched a save against the Reds on Saturday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk in one inning.

Advice: A trio of Milwaukee pitchers combined to shut out Cincinnati over eight innings before the ball was handed to Megill for the ninth. The right-hander didn't make things easy, issuing a walk and allowing a run-scoring double before getting his first out, but he was ultimately able to slam the door for the save. Megill has been great in his first venture as a closer this season, going 12-for-13 in save tries while posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB over 20 innings. He appears to have a firm grasp on ninth-inning duties for the Brewers, at least until Devin Williams (back) is able to return from the injured list, potentially in the latter half of July. • Homers again in win
Thomas went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a 4-0 win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Thomas doubled and scored a run in the first inning then added a solo home run in the third. The home run was Thomas' second in as many days, and he now has a nine-game hit streak dating back to June 6. Since returning from a knee injury May 27, Thomas is hitting .301 with four home runs and five stolen bases in 73 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:35 pm

    • Sharp in seventh win
Imanaga (7-1) picked up the win in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Cardinals, allowing one run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The 30-year-old rookie delivered his eighth quality start in his first 13 big-league outings on 103 pitches (69 strikes), with the only run against Imanaga coming after a leadoff double by Alec Burleson in the fourth inning. Imanaga will take a 1.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 78:11 K:BB through 76 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Mets. • Tosses bullpen session
Darvish (groin) threw a bullpen session Friday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Darvish simulated three innings in the session, tossing 60 pitches. The veteran hurler said before throwing the bullpen that he expects the session to be sufficient ramp-up to allow him to return to the Padres' rotation without a rehab assignment. Per Acee, Darvish could start a game during San Diego's homestand against Milwaukee that begins next Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:09 pm

    • Lane Thomas goes yard in win over Marlins
Lane Thomas went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored against the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Thomas doubled in the first inning and scored on a sacrifice fly by Joey Meneses to put the Nationals on the board. He then launched a solo homer in the third, his second straight day going yard. The 28-year-old outfielder is hitting .238/.300/.388 with six homers, 22 RBI, and 16 steals across 180 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:20 pm
