    • Goes six scoreless for sixth win
Brown (6-5) earned the win Monday against Toronto, allowing two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The Houston right-hander continued his torrid hot streak, tossing an eighth consecutive quality start. Over those eight outings, Brown has gone 5-1 with a 1.29 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 53:14 K:BB across 49 innings. Despite sporting a 9.78 ERA after his first 23 innings, the 25-year-old has now lowered his overall ERA to 4.07 in 86.1 total innings. Brown is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Twins in Minnesota this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 3:21 pm
    • Hunter Brown goes six scoreless to defeat Jays
Hunter Brown tossed six scoreless frames, allowing only two hits, Monday as the Astros defeated the Blue Jays 3-1.

Advice: The Jays had a chance in the second, when Brown gave up a single and walked two to load the bases with one out, but Ernie Clement and Kevin Kiermaier failed to bring home any runners. Other than that, Brown kept the Toronto bats very quiet on Canada Day. He’s won five straight starts, allowing a total of one run in the process. Having a particularly great stretch of schedule has certainly helped there, but he’d probably be doing just fine against better teams, too. Rotoworld Today, 3:15 pm
    • Productive in Sunday's loss
Crawford went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to to the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Crawford reached safely for the 10th straight game with his single, pushing his average to a solid .263 over that span. The stolen base was Crawford's fourth of the season, his highest total since the 2020 campaign. While the veteran shortstop's current stretch of hitting is easily his most productive of the season, Crawford is still sitting on a .215 average and .674 OPS across 61 games. • Hits for cycle in blowout win
Langford hit for the cycle in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Orioles, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored.

Advice: Langford made history with the first cycle of the 2024 MLB season Sunday night. He flew out his first time up and then took off from there, tripling in the fourth and then later completing things with a three-run blast in his final at-bat of the evening in the eighth. Langford is putting together quite the rookie campaign despite the season struggles from the Rangers. He became the first rookie in MLB history with a cycle, a grand slam and an inside-the-park home run in a season. He also became the first Rangers rookie to hit for a cycle since 1985. Langford caps off a productive month of June, during which he slashed .309/.368/.526 with three homers, 22 RBI, 11 runs, six steals and an 8:17 BB:K in 106 plate appearances. • Swats 11th homer
Chapman went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and three total RBI in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman's been hot to close out June, going 13-for-37 (.351) with three homers, nine RBI and 11 runs scored over his last 10 contests. He hit just .190 over his first 15 games this month. The third baseman is at a .242/.323/.414 slash line with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 55 runs scored and a career-high seven stolen bases through 82 games this year. Chapman's unlikely to continue to hit for average, but he can still make an impact if his power stays up. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:16 pm

    • Ryan Mountcastle sits due to illness
Ryan Mountcastle didn’t play Sunday because he was ill, according to manager Brandon Hyde.

Advice: Mountcastle also didn’t play Saturday, but since he occasionally sits against right-handers, that went without any explanation. That he was absent tonight against a lefty demanded one. There was no additional comment about whether the Orioles expected him to return Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Dealing with illness
Mountcastle was unavailable for Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Rangers due to an illness, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Mountcastle's absence from the lineup was a surprising one Sunday considering his impressive .306/.359/.494 slash line against left-handed pitchers this season, but manager Brandon Hyde clarified after the contest that Mountcastle was feeling under the weather. With Baltimore off Monday, there's a good chance that Mountcastle will be ready to go for the team's series opener in Seattle on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:20 pm

    • Provides offense Sunday
Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner led off the contest with a solo home run, his fourth long ball of the season and second in the last four games. However, he didn't do anything else the rest of the afternoon, while the team as a whole mustered only one additional hit. Still, Hoerner managed to extend his hitting streak to eight games, and he's batting .344 during that stretch. The infielder should remain a viable fantasy option from the top of the order so long as he stays locked in at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:18 pm

    • Wyatt Langford hits for cycle in rout of Orioles
Wyatt Langford hit for the cycle and drove in four runs as the Rangers bested the Orioles 11-2 on Sunday.

Advice: Langford had just 14 extra-base hits in 59 games this season before coming up with three tonight. The homer, his fourth, came in his fifth and final at-bat of the night. It caps off a fine June for Langford in which he hit .283/.347/.446 with two homers, 18 RBI and six steals in 25 games. Things will likely only keep getting better from here.
