    • Has Grade 2 hamstring strain
Harris has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and there isn't a timetable for return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports Saturday.

Advice: Harris was placed on the 10-day IL earlier Saturday after sustaining a strained hamstring in Friday's game against the Rays. However, an MRI revealed that Harris' strain is Grade 2, which likely indicates he'll be sidelined for more than the minimum 10 days. Ramon Laureano was called up to take Harris' 26-man roster spot, though J.P. Martinez should handle most of the work in center field. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Michael Harris II diagnosed with Grade 2 strain
Michael Harris II has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.

Advice: If it wasn’t bad enough that the 23-year-old outfielder landed on the injured list with his hamstring strain, his MRI exam revealed it to be a more serious strain, which means that he’ll be sidelined for even longer. The Braves have yet to provide a timeline for his recovery, but it’s going to be longer than just a couple of weeks. Expect Ramon Laureano to see increased action in the Braves’ outfield in the meantime. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Anthony Santander homers twice in victory Saturday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-2 with two homers, four RBI, and a walk to lead the Orioles to a 6-2 win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Santander drew a walk in the second inning, then led off the fourth with a solo homer off Taijuan Walker to tie the game. He later gave the Orioles some insurance runs in the eighth, taking José Ruiz deep for a two-run blast for his second homer of the day. After hitting nine home runs over the first two months, he’s already up to eight while hitting .298 in a red-hot June. The 29-year-old slugger is slashing .231/.307/.498 with 17 homers and 42 RBI across 277 plate appearances on the season. Rotoworld Today, 3:38 pm

    • Adds steal Friday
Gimenez went 2-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Gimenez has two steals over his last three games, giving him 11 thefts on the year. The second baseman has struggled at the plate in June, batting .206 (7-for-34) over eight contests, but he continues to see a starting role even after a recent run of the Guardians facing four left-handed starters in a six-game span. For the season, Gimenez is slashing .266/.320/.363 with four home runs, 35 RBI, 35 runs scored, 10 doubles and one triple. Rotowire.com Today, 10:15 am

    • Nursing neck issue
Verlander was scratched from his start Saturday versus the Tigers due to neck discomfort, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Verlander was geared up to face his former team Saturday, but he'll now likely have to have his turn in the rotation skipped completely as a result of the neck issue. With Sunday's scheduled starter Spencer Arrighetti now pushed up to toe the rubber Saturday, Houston will likely have to look to an option off their major-league roster to fill in for the series finale. Left-hander Eric Lauer is with Triple-A Sugar Land and he could be an option to be called up Sunday. In the meantime, it's unclear if Verlander's injury will require a stint on the injured list or not, but the 41-year-old's next opportunity to return to the mound will be next weekend in Baltimore at the soonest. • Justin Verlander scratched due to neck discomfort
Justin Verlander was scratched from Saturday’s start against the Tigers due to neck discomfort.

Advice: No word yet on the severity of the neck ailment that led to Verlander being scratched from a highly-anticipated outing against his former team, but Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters they don’t believe it’s an injured list situation. Espada added that the 41-year-old veteran righty has been pitching through neck soreness for the last two or three weeks, which certainly helps explain his recent struggles. It’ll be rookie Spencer Arrighetti taking the ball in his place. There should be an additional update on his status at some point this weekend. He’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to determine the extent of the lingering issue. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Today, 9:33 am

    • Bo Bichette out Saturday with right calf soreness
Bo Bichette is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Guardians due to right calf soreness.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters they’ll see how Bichette is feeling this weekend before deciding on a course of action. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but it’s a developing situation fantasy managers should keep a close eye on. He’s been playing through the lingering issue of late and is presumably day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 9:17 am

    • Dealing with calf issue
Bichette is absent from Saturday's lineup against the Guardians as a result of right calf soreness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette has been playing through the calf issue for a few games, so the team decided to give him a day off Saturday. Manager John Schneider said the team will keep an eye on how the shortstop is feeling ahead of Sunday's series finale with Cleveland before making a decision on when he'll be back in the lineup. • Justin Verlander scratched from start vs. Tigers
Justin Verlander has been scratched from Saturday’s start against the Tigers.

Advice: Uh-oh. No word yet on the reason for Verlander being scratched from a highly-anticipated outing against his former team. However, it’s worth noting that the 41-year-old veteran has struggled in each of his last two outings. It’ll be rookie Spencer Arrighetti taking the ball in his place. There should be an additional update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Today, 9:06 am
