  • Bandy goes 3-for-4 in Brewers' defeat of Reds
Jett Bandy went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in the Brewers' 9-4 win over the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: Bandy hit an RBI single in the Brewers' five-run first inning before adding an RBI double in the bottom of the fourth. The 27-year-old catcher has a sensational .349/.391/.698 batting line with four home runs in 13 games this season, but he'll continue to share starts behind the plate with Manny Pina, who's also off to an excellent start offensively. Dustin Pedroia (knee, ankle) remains out of the Red Sox starting lineup on Wednesday.

Mallex Smith (hamstring) went 1-for-3 with a triple in his first minor league rehab game Tuesday with High-A Charlotte.

Advice: Smith has been on the disabled list since April 14 with a strained right hamstring. Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times suspects the 23-year-old outfielder will be optioned to Triple-A Durham once he returns to full strength. Advice: Yastrzemski is nearing the end of his rehab from offseason core and hip labrum surgeries and could soon be ready to join up with one of the Orioles' minor league affiliates -- probably Triple-A Norfolk. The 26-year-old outfielder batted .234/.325/.391 with 13 home runs and 14 stolen bases in 127 games last summer between the Double-A and Triple-A levels. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:42 am

  • Trea Turner hits for cycle, drives in seven
Trea Turner hit for the cycle in Tuesday's game at Colorado, finishing with four runs scored and a career-high seven RBI.

Advice: The seven RBI are tied for second-most in a single game in franchise history, and it was the first cycle for a Washington player since Cristian Guzman accomplished the feat Aug. 28, 2008. Yangervis Solarte finished 3-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's loss at Arizona.

Advice: The Venezuelan switch-hitter has hit safely in six straight, including a pair of three-hit games to open the current series in Arizona. Solarte continues to start regularly and he has a penchant for collecting hits in bunches. He is trending up right now and worth a look as a nice mid-tier DFS value while running hot. Brandon Moss hit his third homer Tuesday in garbage time against the White Sox.

Joey Gallo gave the Rangers their only run with a homer off the Twins' Ervin Santana in Tuesday's loss.

Advice: Gallo is going to force the Rangers to put him in left field after Adrian Beltre returns. He's up to seven homers now, giving him as many as any two other Rangers combined. His .945 OPS puts him 200 points higher than any of the team's other regulars. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm

  • Hernan Perez goes 3-for-3, homers
Hernan Perez went 3-for-3 with a homer, a triple and a walk Tuesday as the Brewers whooped the Reds 9-1.

Advice: Orlando Arcia has shown nothing in the way of development since entering the majors, but the Brewers would be sacrificing some defense by putting Perez at shortstop, as they did tonight. Maybe they should do it anyway, at least for now. Perez is hitting .261/.346/.609 in his 46 at-bats. Arcia is at .209/.232/.299 in 67 at-bats. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm

  • Zach Davies goes five scoreless in win
Zach Davies shut out the Reds for five innings to earn a victory on Tuesday.

Advice: He struck out six and walked one. Davies figured to be the Brewers' steadiest starter this year, but he's struggled mightily, coming into tonight's affair with an 8.24 ERA in four starts. Hopefully, he's back on track now and will return to being an asset in NL-only leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:56 pm
  • Tyler Collins knocks in three runs
Tyler Collins finished 3-for-5 with three RBI and a walk in Tuesday's rout.

Advice: Collins had just two RBI in 48 at-bats coming into this one, and he's still sporting just a .631 OPS at the moment. He has some AL-only value while starting against right-handers, but the sooner the Tigers can supplant him, the better. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:38 pm

Advice: Solarte hit an RBI single off Tom Koehler in the first inning, but was unable to come up with another hit for the duration of the contest. After hitting a respectable .286/.341/.467 in 2016, the 29-year-old second baseman is off to a .243/.325/.386 start through the first 70 at-bats of the current season. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 5:45 pm
  • Joey Gallo socks solo home run in victory
Joey Gallo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Royals.

Advice: Gallo's solo homer off Scott Alexander in the sixth inning was his sixth of the season and bumped his RBI total to 14. He has now whacked four homers in his last five games. Turner was off to a slow start in six games before the hamstring injury. Today's good game boosted his slash line up to .208/.240/.292 with zero homers and two RBI. He has three stolen bases as well. Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Friday’s loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: It was his third homer in his last five games and his sixth overall. With four multi-hit games in his last six, he’s now batting .304/.409/.661 through 16 games. • Gallo has first career multi-homer game
Joey Gallo clubbed a pair of long home runs and knocked in three runs in a win over the Royals on Friday.

Advice: It was his first career multi-homer game. Gallo broke a tie with a two-run rocket off Nathan Karns in the second inning. The ball traveled an estimated 462 feet to right field and actually hit a popcorn stand on the concourse in right field. All patrons must stay alert when he’s at the plate. His second homer, a solo shot in the fifth inning off Karns, was a moonshot to the second deck in right-center field. • Gallo scores only run in win over Royals
Joey Gallo went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's extra-innings win over the Royals.

Advice: Gallo hit a one-out double off of Travis Wood in the 13th inning, and he raced home to score the winning run on Delino DeShields' walk-off single a batter later. He also struck out twice in the game -- he's now struck out 22 times in 53 at-bats -- and is hitting just .189/.295/.453 after Thursday's 1-for-5 night. Zach Davies allowed four runs on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Advice: It wasn't Davies' sharpest outing, but Cardinals starter Carlos Martinez struggled as well, opening the door for Davies to get his first win of the year. The right-hander also walked two while striking out five. The 2017 season hasn't been kind to Davies, who is just 1-2 with an 8.24 ERA, 1.98 WHIP and .345 batting average against through four starts, but the upstart Brewers aren't expected to make much noise this year and should be willing to give the 24-year-old all the time he needs to get it straightened out.
