• JD Mart homers twice in win over Padres
J.D. Martinez went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI in a 5-1 win over the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Martinez hit his first home run 391 feet off of Jhony Brito in the fourth inning and then followed that up with a 382-foot shot in the seventh. He now has eight home runs and 26 RBI in 43 games for the Mets so far this season. Given his regular playing time and spot in the middle of the Mets’ order, Martinez carries consistent fantasy value even in his age 36 season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm
  • Jackson Merrill power binge continues in loss
Jackson Merrill went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Merrill launched a 411-foot blast against Jose Quintana for his seventh home run of the season. The rookie now has four home runs in his last three games. All of them have also been solo shots. Merrill was billed as primarily a batting average asset who wouldn’t provide much power, so it’s nice to see him starting to show some pop. Even pushing 15-20 home runs in a season would be a big boost to his fantasy value. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:31 pm
  • Alek Thomas moving rehab to Triple-A on Monday
Alek Thomas (hamstring) will have his minor league rehab assignment shifted to Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder has been playing games in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the weekend, so he’ll step up the competition level for a few games at Triple-A before he’s cleared to return to the Diamondbacks’ outfield. If all goes according to plan, he should return before the end of next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:33 pm

  • Starting at catcher Saturday
Goodman will catch and bat eighth Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: Goodman will draw the start behind the plate Saturday in a role he's expected to split with Jacob Stallings for the duration of Elias Diaz's (calf) absence. Goodman is slashing .156/.206/.313 with two home runs in 68 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:24 pm

  • Back in lineup Saturday
Cave (head) is playing right field and batting seventh Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: After being hit in the head by a line drive Friday during pre-game BP, Cave was cleared for action Saturday and will start in right field. Prior to the incident, Cave had generated a hit in three straight games and owns a .607 OPS on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:20 pm

Thomas (hamstring) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Reno on Tuesday and is hoping to rejoin the Diamondbacks on June 25 for the start of a six-game home stand, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Thomas started a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League and homered in his first game. He'll have his rehab transferred to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, where he'll remain while the Diamondbacks go on a six-game road trip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:58 pm

  • Braves move Jarred Kelenic up to leadoff spot
Jarred Kelenic is batting leadoff for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Kelenic has been bumped up to the leadoff spot in the wake of Michael Harris II hitting the injured list with a hamstring strain. It’s a nice temporary boost for the 24-year-old former top prospect’s fantasy outlook, if he can capitalize on the opportunity. He holds a pedestrain .706 OPS four homers and one steal in 54 games this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:24 am
  • Moves up to leadoff spot
Kelenic will start in center field and bat leadoff in Saturday's game versus the Rays.

Advice: With Michael Harris (hamstring) joining Ronald Acuna (knee) on the shelf, Atlanta has lost its last two leadoff hitters against right-handed pitching. Kelenic will get the next crack at the job, which is quite a promotion given that he hadn't previously batted higher than seventh this season. This is also his first start of the season in center field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:23 am
