    • Luis Gil gives up three runs in no-decision Sunday
Luis Gil pitched decently in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Sunday night, surrendering three runs on five hits over his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: Gil punched out five batters on the evening while allowing just one base on balls. After keeping the vaunted Dodgers’ offense off the board for the first four innings, they broke through in the fifth on a two-run double by Mookie Betts. They added another in the sixth on a go-ahead solo shot off the bat of Teoscar Hernández. The 26-year-old right-hander got 15 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the night — seven each on his fastball and changeup — while posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll bring a terrific 2.04 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and a 90/35 K/BB ratio (75 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm

    • Drives in two
Urshela went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 10-2 win over Milwaukee.

Advice: Urshela plated two runners on a fifth-inning single and came around to score later in the frame. The third baseman had been slumping over the last week, batting just .176 with one extra-base hit, two RBI and one run scored. The 32-year-old Urshela provides limited fantasy value due to his lack of power -- he has just two home runs and seven extra-base hits in 134 plate appearances this season. • Smacks two doubles
Greene went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, one run scored and one RBI in Sunday's win versus Milwaukee.

Advice: Greene broke out of a 2-for-19 slump Sunday, hitting two doubles to raise his season total to 14. The 23-year-old has shown improved power this season, matching last season's total of 11 home runs in 149 fewer plate appearances. On the season, the left fielder is slashing .243/.342/.451 with 11 home runs, 25 RBI and 43 runs scored over 272 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:19 pm

    • Homer short of cycle
Westburg went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and two runs scored during Sunday's 9-2 win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Westburg hit a triple for the second consecutive game, bringing his season total to five triples -- tied for the fourth-most in baseball. The third baseman did most of his damage against the bullpen, with his triple coming off Phil Maton in the eighth inning and his final hit (a single) coming off Pete Fairbanks in the ninth. Westburg is 6-for-14 with a homer, three RBI and three runs over the first three games of the O's four-game set against Tampa Bay. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:56 pm

    • Dazzles with 10 Ks
Skubal (8-1) picked up the win Sunday versus Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters in 6.2 innings.

Advice: Skubal nearly went seven scoreless innings, but he allowed an RBI triple to Brice Turang before being pulled. Skubal dominated the Brewers, inducing 17 swinging strikes and allowing only one extra-base hit, turning in his ninth quality start over his past 10 games. The southpaw has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, compiling a 1.92 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP with 96 strikeouts in 79.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled for a road start in Houston next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:43 pm

    • Tarik Skubal strikes out 10 in defeating Brewers
Tarik Skubal fanned 10 while limiting the Brewers to one run in 6 2/3 innings in the Tigers’ 10-2 victory Sunday.

Advice: Skubal hit a career-high 101.7 mph on the gun today while working to Rhys Hoskins in the third. His other two hardest pitches in the game (99.4 and 99.1 mph) also came in that at-bat, which ended with Hoskins out on a foul popup. Skubal moved to 8-1 with a 1.92 ERA. He’s tied for third in the majors in wins, he’s fifth in ERA and he’s fourth in strikeouts with 96. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:19 pm

    • Jack Flaherty (back) won’t start Tuesday vs. WSH
Jack Flaherty (back) will not start Tuesday against the Nationals.

Advice: Flaherty told reporters that he was confident he’d be able to start Tuesday’s game after leaving with back tightness against the Rangers last week, but the Tigers want to give the right-hander some more time to recuperate. Kenta Maeda, Reese Olson and Casey Mize will start in the series against Washington, and Flaherty will get the ball against the Astros on either Friday or Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:38 am

    • Nelson Velazquez out of lineup Sunday vs. Mariners
Nelson Velazquez is not in the lineup Sunday against the

Advice: Salvador Perez is the designated hitter for Sunday’s tilt against the Mariners, so Velazquez will retreat to the bench for the finale. The outfielder went 1-for-7 over the first two games of the series and has hit just .133 with a .544 OPS in the month of June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:08 am
    • Starting at shortstop Sunday
McKinstry is starting at shortstop and batting seventh in Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Javier Baez started the first two games of the series at shortstop, but he'll hit the bench Sunday and give way to McKinstry. Baez is struggling mightily this season with a .183/.209/.247 slash line, so McKinstry could earn more playing time moving forward, though the latter profiles more as a utility player than an everyday starter.
