    • Joey Ortiz day-to-day with hamstring injury
Joey Ortiz is not in the Brewers’ lineup on Tuesday as he is undergoing testing on his hamstring.

Advice: Ortiz is being examined today after missing yesterday’s game with a sore right hamstring. Since the Brewers have an off day tomorrow, Ortiz being on the bench on Wednesday allows him to have more rest. We’ll likely know more about his status after the game today. Oliver Dunn is starting at third base for Ortiz on Wednesday and batting eighth. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago

    • Remains out Wednesday
Ortiz (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Ortiz will miss a second straight start with a right hamstring issue. He still needs to undergo testing but is optimistic he won't require an extended absence, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Oliver Dunn will fill in for Ortiz at third base Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:31 am

    • Homers and steals bag in win
Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer, two walks, a steal and three runs scored in Tuesday's 15-2 win over the Rangers. He was also reached via a hit by pitch.

Advice: Ohtani kickstarted a four-homer sixth inning by the Dodgers with a two-run blast off Grant Anderson. He also tallied his 15th steal of the year, becoming the first player in baseball this season to tally 15 home runs and 15 steals. Ohtani continues to be one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball and is now slashing .312/.384/.581 with 16 homers, 43 RBI, 50 runs and a 30:62 BB:K in 294 plate appearances. • Used as setup man again
Beeks allowed one hit across 1.2 scoreless innings to earn a hold Tuesday against the Twins.

Advice: Beeks entered the game in the seventh inning with the Rockies hanging onto a two-run lead. He allowed only an infield single to turn in his third consecutive scoreless appearance. However, Beeks appears to have ceded the closer role to Tyler Kinely, as Kinley has picked up each of the last three saves for Colorado. Rotowire.com Today, 6:47 am

    • Shohei Ohtani collects 16th homer, 15th steal
Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run homer, walked twice, stole a base and scored three times Tuesday in the rout of the Rangers.

Advice: Ohtani is the first player to reach 15 homers (actually 16) and 15 steals this year. In fact, no one else has at least 12 of each. Only Elly De La Cruz, with 11 homers and 34 steals, tops Ohtani in the two categories combined. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:23 pm

    • Notches pair of hits
McMahon went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo homer and an additional run during Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: McMahon generated his first multi-hit game since May 22, scoring in the sixth inning after reaching on a double and then swatting a solo homer off Cole Sands in the eighth inning. The third baseman had been in a rut prior to Tuesday's game, going 2-for-29 with two runs and no RBI in the past seven games. Still, McMahon owns a .788 OPS with 11 home runs across 66 games this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:40 pm

    • Hangs on for save
Kinley picked up the save Tuesday against the Twins, allowing two runs on two hits with no walks over one inning. He struck out two.

Advice: Kinley inherited a three-run lead in the ninth but still had to sweat after allowing a leadoff double to Willi Castro and a two-run homer to Carlos Santana with two outs before icing the game by striking out Jose Miranda. Kinley has emerged as the Rockies' preferred ninth-inning option -- supplanting Jalen Beeks -- though Tuesday's close call and Kinley's 8.10 ERA overall could open the door for other relievers to see save chances. • Another scoreless start
Quantrill (6-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing three hits and one walk with five strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

Advice: Quantrill has gone 11 straight innings without allowing a run and issued fewer than two walks for the first time in four starts. The 29-year-old didn't yield an extra-base hit Tuesday and didn't let a runner get past second base, qualifying for his sixth quality start in his last eight outings. While his strikeout stuff has been hit-or-miss, Quantrill owns a 6-1 record and a 1.91 ERA since the start of May. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Dodgers at Coors Field on Monday. Quantrill allowed four runs in 4.1 innings when he faced the Dodgers in Los Angeles on June 1. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:12 pm
    • McMahon hits 11th homer of season vs. Twins
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Both of McMahon’s hits went for extra bases, but it was his homer in the eighth inning that stretched the Rockies’ lead to 5-2. It was McMahon’s 11th homer on the season and his first of June after he slugged six in May. He’s slashing a meager .154/.214/.282 on the month and has seen his average regress back to the norm after hitting over .300 the first month of the season.
