    Advice: Winn has gone 3-for-13 with two walks, a double, a steal and two runs scored over his last four contests. The shortstop is in a starting role and leads the Cardinals with a .323 batting average. He's added an .824 OPS, four steals, six RBI, eight runs scored, three doubles and two triples, but he has yet to hit a home run this season.     Advice: Garcia is starting to come around at the plate, going 4-for-17 (.235) over his last four contests following a five-game slump. The third baseman has already matched his homer total from last season (four), which took him 123 games to accumulate in 2023.     Advice: Caballero has made his mark with seven stolen bases across his first 22 games this season. However, he swatted his second homer of the campaign against Shelby Miller in the eighth inning, and he now has an extra-base hit in each of his last three games. Caballero has a clear path to playing time for the foreseeable future, as Taylor Walls (hip) has been shut down from baseball activities and is ineligible to return from the injured list until late May.     Advice: Mateo made his second start in three games and used his legs to help the Orioles score their second run, following a third-inning walk with a pair of thefts before coming home on an Adley Rutschman single. The performance was indicative of what Mateo brings to Baltimore -- he's an elite base stealer when he's able to reach, but with a career .224 batting average and .271 OBP, that doesn't happen enough to keep him in the lineup consistently.     Advice: Cruz hit eighth in the order for the third straight game against a right-handed pitcher as the Pirates seek to get him on track at the plate. He showed some reasons for optimism with his three-hit performance, highlighted by a two-RBI single in the sixth inning that gave the team some insurance runs.     Jose Caballero went 1-for-4 with a home run in Monday’s loss against the Tigers.

    Advice: Caballero got off to a hot start this season with a .353 AVG in his first 10 games. He’s since cooled down, but is still slashing .284/.297/.459 on the season. He was the only offense that Tampa Bay had on Monday when he hit a solo shot in the eighth inning. From a fantasy perspective, the 27-year-old shortstop has been a plus in the stolen base department with seven of them so far this season. But for the Rays, he’s been a huge asset given the situation surrounding Wander Franco and could be a sneaky shortstop option for fantasy managers this season if he keeps up this type of production.   • Jackson Merrill goes 2-for-3, drives in run
    Jackson Merrill singled twice and drove in one of the Padres’ three runs Monday against the Rockies.

    Advice: Merrill made it a 3-1 game with a grounder in the eighth that really should have been handled by Ryan McMahon at third. Of course, it was ruled a hit anyway. Merrill’s MLB career is off to a nice start, as he’s hitting .317/.378/.415 in 90 plate appearances.     Baez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 7-1 win over the Rays.

    Advice: Relegated to the eighth spot in the lineup, Baez managed to contribute, and he's been good over his last five games with a .350 batting average. The shortstop is still batting just .203 for the season, so he'll need more performances like the one he delivered Monday if he wants to get his overall numbers up to a more acceptable range.
