The performance was indicative of what Mateo brings to Baltimore -- he's an elite base stealer when he's able to reach, but with a career .224 batting average and .271 OBP, that doesn't happen enough to keep him in the lineup consistently.     Advice: Cruz hit eighth in the order for the third straight game against a right-handed pitcher as the Pirates seek to get him on track at the plate. He showed some reasons for optimism with his three-hit performance, highlighted by a two-RBI single in the sixth inning that gave the team some insurance runs.     Jose Caballero went 1-for-4 with a home run in Monday’s loss against the Tigers.

    Advice: Caballero got off to a hot start this season with a .353 AVG in his first 10 games. He’s since cooled down, but is still slashing .284/.297/.459 on the season. He was the only offense that Tampa Bay had on Monday when he hit a solo shot in the eighth inning. From a fantasy perspective, the 27-year-old shortstop has been a plus in the stolen base department with seven of them so far this season. But for the Rays, he’s been a huge asset given the situation surrounding Wander Franco and could be a sneaky shortstop option for fantasy managers this season if he keeps up this type of production.
