    • Jurickson Profar wins game in 10th for Padres
Jurickson Profar delivered the game-winner in the 10th as the Padres edged the Nationals 7-6 on Monday.

Advice: Profar’s lone hit in five at-bats seemed to hang in the air forever, but it was put in the perfect spot to elude Lane Thomas and Jacob Young in right-center. The two-run single — it would have been at least a double under normal circumstances — came after Luis Arraez was walked to load the bases. Profar has hit in eight straight games, but since he’s collected just nine hits in that span and he’s been so productive on the season, he’s lost 20 points of OPS during the stretch (.917 to .897). • Homers, drives in three
De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: De La Cruz scored a run after singling in the fourth inning before knocking an RBI double and scoring again in the fifth. He capped off his day with a two-run shot in the sixth. It was his 14th home run of the year and fifth of the month. De La Cruz is slashing .249/.342/.464 with 31 extra-base hits, 35 RBI and 52 runs scored this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:39 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz hits 14th homer, Reds rout Pirates
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday, leading the Reds to an 11-5 blowout victory over the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz served as Cincinnati’s primary offensive catalyst on Monday night at Great American Ball Park with a three-hit performance that included a pair of batted balls with exit velocities over 110 mph, including an impressive 439-foot moonshot -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- off Pirates reliever Daulton Jefferies in the sixth inning. He also scalded a 110-mph double to right field off Pittsburgh starter Bailey Falter, which brought home a run earlier in the contest. The 22-year-old fantasy superstar has seemingly caught fire again over the last few days, batting .379 (11-for-29) with two homers and one steal over his last seven games. He’s up to 14 homers and 37 steals already, which puts him on pace for a potential 30-homer, 70 steals campaign, if he keeps this going. Unreal. Rotoworld Monday, 7:20 pm

    • Yu Darvish has sore elbow, won’t return Tuesday
Yu Darvish is dealing with elbow inflammation will not return to the Padres rotation on Tuesday.

Advice: This is a new problem for Darvish, who has been out since June 1 with a strained groin, but the Padres are hopeful it’ll be only a minor setback. Adam Mazur will take his place Tuesday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Monday, 3:58 pm

    • Dealing with elbow inflammation
Padres manager Mike Shildt said Monday that Darvish (groin) won't be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday versus the Nationals due to "a little" right elbow inflammation, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Darvish had been slated to return from close to a month-long absence with a groin injury, but it's an elbow issue that will delay his activation even further. Shildt's wording would seem to suggest that Darvish is dealing with a minor setback, but a return to the rotation next week isn't guaranteed, especially after Darvish missed the final month of last season with a bone spur in the elbow. Adam Mazur was recalled from Triple-A El Paso and will start Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:55 pm

    • Long-tossing from 120 feet
Garcia (elbow) has progressed to long-tossing from 120 feet, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Working his way back from right elbow ulnar neuritis, Garcia would seem close to throwing off a mound if he can continue to progress. He was closing for the Blue Jays before getting hurt a week ago and could eventually get that job back, although Jordan Romano (elbow) and Chad Green will be factors. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:28 pm

    • Drawing start at DH on Monday
Fry (elbow) will start at designated hitter and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Fry's status heading into the series opener in Baltimore was somewhat murky after he was forced out of Sunday's 6-5 win over Toronto with right elbow inflammation, but the 29-year-old is apparently feeling well enough to stick in the lineup Monday in a non-defensive role. Once the elbow issue fully subsides, expect Fry to mix in behind the plate and in the corner outfield along with at DH as the Guardians make a concerted effort to keep his productive bat in the lineup. • Yu Darvish may not return this week
According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Tribune, Yu Darvish (groin) did not throw his scheduled pre-start bullpen session, “and his status is up in the air.”

Advice: Padres manager Mike Shildt said, “We’re going to see what it looks like and have something for you [Monday].” The issue is apparently not related to the groin issue that has kept Darvish out since May 29th but without any information on what actually did keep Darvish from throwing, it’s impossible to say if it’s good news or bad news that it’s not related to his groin. We’ll keep locked to the news coming out of San Diego, but fantasy managers in weekly lineup lock leagues may want to err on the side of caution and keep Darvish out of starting lineups this week. • Picks up fifth steal
Gorman went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

Advice: Gorman got aboard on a fielder's choice and picked up a steal for the second game in a row. The second baseman has gone 0-for-9 with a hit-by-pitch and two sacrifice flies over his last three contests. He's gone 17 games without a multi-hit effort, batting a poor .078 (5-for-64) in that span, though two of those hits have been homers. The slump has him down to a .194/.272/.421 slash line with 16 home runs, 36 RBI, five steals and 31 runs scored across 70 contests. Gorman's struggled to hit for average over his three years in the majors, and a career-worst 35.9 percent strikeout rate isn't doing him any favors in 2024. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:33 pm
