    • Homers Wednesday
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Gorman led off the second inning with a 436-foot blast off Yonny Chirinos, cutting St. Louis' deficit to 2-1. It's the first homer in seven games for Gorman, who'd gone just 1-for-28 in that span. Overall, the 24-year-old second baseman is slashing .202/.278/.437 with 16 homers, 34 RBI, 31 runs scored and three steals across 67 games this year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:38 pm

    • Nolan Gorman swats solo homer in loss to Marlins
Nolan Gorman belted a solo homer on Wednesday in the Cardinals’ loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Gorman took Marlins starter Yonny Chirinos deep in the second inning for his 16th big fly of the season. It was his lone hit in four at-bats in a low-scoring affair down in Miami. The 24-year-old slugging second baseman is batting just .161 (12-for-70) since the start of July, but half of those hits have left the ballpark, which helps salvage some semblance of fantasy appeal. • Willi Castro plates three in victory over Rays
Willi Castro doubled twice and finished with three RBI on Tuesday, leading the Twins to a 7-6 victory over the Rays.

Advice: Castro put Minnesota ahead briefly in a topsy-turvy marathon at Target Field with a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning off Rays starter Aaron Civale. He also recorded another double and walked in this one, reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances out of the leadoff spot. The 27-year-old has been locked-in at the dish over the last few days, hitting .379 (11-for-29) with one homer and one steal over his last seven games. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:20 am

    • Picks up three hits, stolen base
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz produced his fifth three-hit effort of the season Monday. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in three straight contests. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign. The speedster carries a .242/.340/.447 slash line with 12 home runs and 31 RBI. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:21 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz collects 37th steal in Reds’ loss
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with his 37th stolen base of the season on Monday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz was one of the few bright spots in this one as Cincinnati’s offense was almost completely shut down by Pirates rookie ace Paul Skenes into the late innings of the first meeting between the two division rivals this year. The 22-year-old middle infielder remains on pace to steal roughly 80 bases this season as he’s picked it up on the bases recently, notching at least one theft in three straight contests. • Exiting lineup versus lefty
Gorman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Gorman will take a seat for the series opener in Miami while southpaw Braxton Garrett toes the rubber for the Marlins. Jose Fermin will fill in at second base for Gorman, who is batting .186 against lefties this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:39 am

    • Logs third steal
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Gorman entered Sunday just 1-for-28 over his last seven games, though the slump hasn't cost him playing time. The second baseman picked up a steal after his second-inning single, giving him three thefts on four attempts this year. For the season, Gorman is slashing .208/.287/.442 with 15 home runs, 33 RBI, 30 runs scored and eight doubles over 64 contests. He's also striking out at a 35.5 percent rate, and until he corrects that issue, he's likely to carry a low batting average. Rotowire.com Jun 16, 10:38 pm

    • Two doubles in nightcap
Castro went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Castro went 0-for-3 with a walk in the day game, but he redeemed himself with a strong showing in the nightcap. This was his third multi-hit effort in his last five contests. The 27-year-old is up to a .261/.350/.416 slash line with five home runs, eight stolen bases, 18 RBI, 40 runs scored, 15 doubles and four triples over 71 games this season. Between his speed and his defensive versatility, Castro can provide some quality depth for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Jun 16, 9:02 pm

    • Goes deep, swipes bag
De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with solo home run, a triple, three runs scored, a steal and two walks in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: De La Cruz stuffed the stat sheet with a terrific performance Sunday, headlined by his solo homer in the eighth inning. He's up to 12 long balls with 36 steals this season. He went six straight games without a stolen base to begin the month but now has four over his last eight appearances. De La Cruz is slashing .235/.334/.438 with 47 runs scored and 25 extra-base hits through 71 games this season. Rotowire.com Jun 16, 6:47 pm
