Advice: Profar’s lone hit in five at-bats seemed to hang in the air forever, but it was put in the perfect spot to elude Lane Thomas and Jacob Young in right-center. The two-run single — it would have been at least a double under normal circumstances — came after Luis Arraez was walked to load the bases. Profar has hit in eight straight games, but since he’s collected just nine hits in that span and he’s been so productive on the season, he’s lost 20 points of OPS during the stretch (.917 to .897). Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday, leading the Reds to an 11-5 blowout victory over the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz served as Cincinnati’s primary offensive catalyst on Monday night at Great American Ball Park with a three-hit performance that included a pair of batted balls with exit velocities over 110 mph, including an impressive 439-foot moonshot -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- off Pirates reliever Daulton Jefferies in the sixth inning. He also scalded a 110-mph double to right field off Pittsburgh starter Bailey Falter, which brought home a run earlier in the contest. The 22-year-old fantasy superstar has seemingly caught fire again over the last few days, batting .379 (11-for-29) with two homers and one steal over his last seven games. Gorman went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Giants.

Advice: Gorman got aboard on a fielder's choice and picked up a steal for the second game in a row. The second baseman has gone 0-for-9 with a hit-by-pitch and two sacrifice flies over his last three contests. He's gone 17 games without a multi-hit effort, batting a poor .078 (5-for-64) in that span, though two of those hits have been homers. The slump has him down to a .194/.272/.421 slash line with 16 home runs, 36 RBI, five steals and 31 runs scored across 70 contests. Gorman's struggled to hit for average over his three years in the majors, and a career-worst 35.9 percent strikeout rate isn't doing him any favors in 2024. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:33 pm

Jackson Chourio went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored as the Brewers triumphed over the Padres in San Diego on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: The 20-year-old outfielder wasn’t even in the Brewers’ starting lineup for this one, but still managed to have a strong day at the dish. He entered as a pinch-hitter for Tyler Black in the seventh inning, where he singled to right and came around to score on an RBI single off the bat of Jake Bauers. Chourio also doubled off of Jhony Brito in the ninth inning, but was stranded at third. He’s now slashing .230/.278/.362 with seven homers, 27 RBI and eight stolen bases on the season. David Fry was removed from Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays due to right elbow inflammation.

Advice: The positive news here is that Fry’s early exit isn’t related to a possible head injury or concussion. The bad news is that he’s probably going to be sent for some further evaluation and imaging to determine the extent of the issue. The 28-year-old backstop has been an unexpected revelation this season for fantasy managers, so the hope here is that his exit was merely for precautionary reasons.
