    • Anthony Santander homers twice, knocks in five
Anthony Santander went 3-for-5 with two homers and five RBI in leading the Orioles to a 9-1 trouncing of the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: It’s shaping up a quite the walk year for Santander, who just made his first All-Star team. He’s up to 26 homers, which is seven off his career high from 2022. His .826 OPS is 60 points better than his career mark and would be his career high, unless someone wants to count his .890 OPS from 37 games in 2020. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:46 pm
    • Nathan Eovaldi tagged for three homers in loss
Nathan Eovaldi was lit up for six runs and three homers in five innings by the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: It’s the first time since 2022 and the seventh time in his career that Eovaldi has allowed three homers. With his velocity down by about one mph, he settled for just five whiffs and two strikeouts tonight. With any luck, his stuff will be better next time out, but even if it isn’t, at least he’ll be facing the White Sox. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:46 pm
    • Secures save Friday
Hader struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-0 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Hader got through the middle of the Mariners' order on a tidy 11 pitches (seven strikes) to earn his 19th save of the campaign. This was his fourth straight scoreless outing, an improvement on a stretch in which he allowed a run in four of six appearances from June 25 to July 7. The closer is at a 3.77 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 68:12 K:BB through 43 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:39 pm
    • Throws six shutout innings
Brown (8-6) allowed four hits and three walks while striking out five over six shutout innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Brown walked multiple batters for the fourth time in five starts, but his only loss in that span came the one time he issued a single free pass. He's kept opponents off the board in five of his last eight outings and has record a quality start in 10 of his last 11 trip to the mound. Brown's walk rate is about the only issue for him at this point -- he has a 3.5 BB/9 overall, though since May 22 he has a 2.7 mark. The 25-year-old has added a 4.14 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 110:41 K:BB through 104.1 innings across 20 appearances (19 starts). Brown is projected to face the Athletics in a road start next week. • Juan Soto goes 4-for-4, scores three times in win
Juan Soto went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and three runs scored as the Yankees topped the Rays 6-1 on Friday.

Advice: The first double turned into a Little League homer after an error and some laziness from Randy Arozarena and a second error from José Caballero, who hit Soto with his relay to third. Soto has 12 hits in his last six games, putting him back up to .303/.433/.569 for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm
    • Josh Hader gets save vs. Mariners on Friday
Josh Hader picked up a save with a scoreless inning against the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Hader struck out Mitch Garver and didn’t allow a hit while procuring his 19th save of the campaign. The left-hander has blown just one save on the season even while posting a relatively-high 3.77 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:32 pm
    • Hunter Brown blanks M’s with six scoreless in win
Hunter Brown blanked the Mariners over six innings to get a win Friday in the Astros’ 3-0 win.

Advice: Brown was one of the best options in baseball over the final two months before the break, and that good run continued Friday. He did issue three walks, but he worked around those bases on balls with five strikeouts and wiggled out of the few jams he created. Brown’s ERA is now 4.14; a much more impressive number when you consider it was 7.71 on May 17. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:30 pm
    • Crushed for six runs
Eovaldi (6-4) yielded six runs on eight hits over five innings Friday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Orioles.

Advice: Eovaldi got off to a rocky start, coughing up a pair of two-run homers in the first inning. He kept Baltimore off the board for a few frames before Anthony Santander joined the party with a two-run shot in the fifth. Eovaldi had given up three homers over his previous four outings before Friday's unsightly outing. On the bright side, he has now gone four straight starts without issuing a free pass. Eovaldi will carry a 3.36 ERA into his next outing, which lines up to come at home against the White Sox. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:55 pm
    • Goes deep twice
Santander went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Friday's win over Texas.

Advice: Santander belted a two-run shot in the fifth inning and capped off his day with a three-run blast in the seventh. He ended the first half with two home runs over his last 13 games and Friday was his first multi-homer effort since June 15. Santander is slashing .242/.305/.521 with 26 long balls and 63 RBI through 92 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
