    • Out against left-hander
Kepler is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Kepler is one of several Twins players involved in a platoon, so he will yield to Manuel Margot in right field with the Nats starting left-hander Mitchell Parker. The left-handed hitting Kepler actually has a 1.050 OPS versus southpaws this season, although that's come over just 20 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 11:53 am

    • Rays activate Brandon Lowe from the IL
Rays activated 2B Brandon Lowe (oblique) from the IL.

Advice: It’s hard to feel too confident about Lowe considering he experienced multiple setbacks during his rehab assignment and had to see a specialist. However, the Rays feel that he’s healthy enough to return; however, he was hitting just .185/.267/.333 with a homer and four RBI in eight games before being sidelined. Lowe has produced power in the past, but we also know that he will sit against left-handed pitching and the batting average will not be much of a help in fantasy leagues, which makes him tough to roster outside of deeper daily moves leagues. • Activated from injured list
The Rays activated Lowe (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Lowe had his return from an oblique strain delayed when he had a little setback, but he returned to action on his rehab assignment in recent days and now appears back to 100 percent. He had a .600 OPS with one home run in eight games before getting hurt and will regain his role as Tampa Bay's regular second baseman against right-handers. Rotowire.com Today, 11:38 am

    • Shaky results in no-decision
Montgomery allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings Sunday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Montgomery surrendered a third-inning home run to Spencer Torkelson, and the Tigers got to him for additional runs in the fifth and sixth. He came back out to begin the seventh and allowed a leadoff walk before exiting the game for good, and that runner eventually came around to score. Montgomery managed to reach six innings for the fourth time in six starts but has not struck out more than four batters in any of those four outings. Though a small sample size, Montgomery's strikeout rate this year is on pace to be the lowest of his career, and he's also walked multiple batters in four straight starts. The 31-year-old owns a 4.98 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB in 34.1 innings. He lines up for a home meeting with the Marlins his next time on the mound. Rotowire.com Today, 6:53 am
    • Dominates Atlanta for win
Darvish (4-1) got the win over Atlanta on Sunday night, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and a walk. He struck out nine.

Advice: Darvish continued his excellent run since returning from the injured list April 30 and is now up to 25 straight scoreless innings, having last given up a run April 14. He had one instance with facing runners in scoring position after a first inning double by Marcell Ozuna. He ended his night by retiring the last 13 batters he faced in order and generated a season-high nine strikeouts while getting 14 whiffs on 99 pitches. Darvish also picked up career win No. 200 and will take an excellent 2.08 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 46:13 K:BB into his next start, which lines up to be against the Yankees during a weekend series. • Provides lone run in loss
Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Seager's solid May continues -- he has gone 17-for-64 (.266) with four homers and nine RBI over 17 contests this month. The shortstop provided the Rangers' lone run against Jose Soriano. Seager's had a down year across the board with a .247/.338/.371 slash line, six homers, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and three doubles through 44 games. The bright side is his 11.8 percent walk rate, which is the highest it's been in his three years as a Ranger. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:55 pm

    • Yu Darvish strikes out nine in victory over Braves
Yu Darvish delivered a dominant performance in Sunday night’s victory over the Braves, piling up nine strikeouts over seven innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 37-year-old right-hander gave up just two hits on the evening while allowing one base on balls. Only once did the Braves put a man in scoring position against him, and that was on Marcell Ozuna’s two-out double in the opening inning. He finished his night by retiring the final 13 hitters that he faced in order. Darvish got 14 swings and misses on 99 pitches on the night, posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. He now boasts a 2.08 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and a 46/13 K/BB ratio over 47 2/3 innings through his first nine starts on the season. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he does battle against the Yankees on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm
    • Elly De La Cruz strikes out four times in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: After a tremendous first game of the series, De La Cruz finished the final three games against the Dodgers going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts. He’s off to an absurd start to the season with 30 stolen bases and nine home runs in 47 games; however, he has started to give back some of his early plate discipline gains. De La Cruz now has 26 strikeouts to just five walks in May while going 14-for-65 at the plate for a .215 average. He’s an electric fantasy player and not somebody you’d ever take out of your lineup, but the 22-year-old remains a work in progress as far as his approach at the plate goes. While that gives him scary good upside, it also means that you should be ready for some prolonged cold streaks as well. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:17 pm

    • Jordan Montgomery allows four runs in no-decision
Jordan Montgomery pitched decently in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, giving up four runs on five hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: The left-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. He served up a solo homer to Spencer Torkelson in the third inning, then kept the Tigers at bat until an RBI single by Javier Baez in the fifth. They tacked on another run in the sixth inning, then Montgomery issued a leadoff walk in the seventh before exiting, and that run came around to score as well. He got eight whiffs on 92 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to improve upon his 4.98 ERA and 1.37 WHIP when he toes the slab against the Marlins on Saturday.
