    • Secures eighth victory
Gray (8-4) earned the win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over seven innings.

Advice: After allowing the first two batters he faced in the outing to reach base, Gray retired the next 12 hitters to step up against him. The Pirates managed a fifth-inning run on a pair of hits, but that was the only tally they were able to push across the plate. Gray finished with his first quality start since May 3 -- a span of seven appearances -- and snapped a personal two-game losing streak. The right-hander allowed seven runs across 9.2 innings during that two-game stretch, but with Wednesday's excellent outing he improved his overall season ERA to 3.01. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm
    • Three hits in win
Neto went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, one additional RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Neto hit a solo shot in the second inning and an RBI double in the sixth for his second multi-hit effort in June. The shortstop has gone 8-for-35 (.229) this month, though five of those hits have gone for extra bases, and he's added eight RBI over 10 contests. For the season, he's at a .250/.300/.424 slash line with eight homers, 26 RBI, 24 runs scored, eight stolen bases and 15 doubles through 240 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:19 pm
    • Zach Neto collects three hits, homers in win
Zach Neto went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, two runs scored, and two RBI to lead the Angels to an 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: Neto led off the second inning with a solo homer off Slade Cecconi. He later knocked a base hit to lead off the fourth and scored on a home run by Jo Adell. Neto drove in another run in the sixth on a double that nearly left the field for a second homer. The 23-year-old shortstop is slashing a solid .250/.300/.424 with eight homers, 26 RBI, and eight steals across 240 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:34 pm
    • Sonny Gray fans nine in defeating Pirates
Sonny Gray pitched seven innings of one-run ball and struck out nine Wednesday against the Pirates.

Advice: Coming off a down stretch that saw him post a 5.46 ERA in his previous six starts, Gray tonight turned in his first quality start since May 3. He’s now 8-4 with a 3.01 ERA overall. He’s somehow received decisions in all of his starts to date, and he’s the only pitcher qualified for the ERA title who can say that. So far this year, starters have qualified for a decision in 62% of their starts, getting the win 29% of the time and the loss 33% of the time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:21 pm
    • Homers twice in win
Candelario went 3-for-4 for two home runs and 4 RBI in a 4-2 win over the Guardians on Wednesday.

Advice: Candelario hit a solo home run off Tanner Bibee in the first inning, followed it up with a three-run homer off Bibee to give the Reds a 4-2 lead in the sixth then added a single in the eighth. Candelario has been mashing in June, hitting .340 with five homers and 11 RBI through 11 contests. While Candelario's .243 season average still isn't great, he now has 11 home runs and 31 RBI in 248 plate appearances and is hitting in the heart of a hot Reds lineup. • Jeimer Candelario powers Reds past Guardians
Jeimer Candelario blasted a pair of homers and drove in four runs on Wednesday night, accounting for all of the Reds’ offense in a 4-2 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder opened the scoring in the contest with a 404-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Tanner Bibee. He then put the Reds ahead to stay with a 343-foot (96.9 mph EV) three-run blast that chased Bibee from the game in the sixth inning. Candelario also singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-4. On the season, he’s now slashing .243/.306/.476 with 11 homers and 31 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:08 pm

    • CJ Abrams leaves the yard in victory over Tigers
CJ Abrams homered, doubled and drove in a pair of runs on Wednesday, propelling the Nationals to a 7-5 victory over the Tigers in Motown.

Advice: Abrams got the Nationals on the board with a game-tying 404-foot (104.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Reese Olson in the third inning. He then smacked an RBI double and scored on a run-scoring single off the bat of Jesse Winker during a three-run uprising in the fifth inning. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 23-year-old shortstop is now slashing .248/.296/.472 with 11 homers, 34 RBI and 10 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
    • Zack Gelof has two hits, RBI in loss to Padres
Zack Gelof went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday in the Athletics’ loss to the Padres.

Advice: Gelof was one of the few bright spots in this one as briefly gave Oakland a lead in the late stages of the contest with an RBI double in the eighth inning off Padres reliever Jeremiah Estrada. The 24-year-old second baseman has gotten off to an ice-cold start this season, but is still chipping in the occasional homer and stolen base to salvage some semblance of fantasy relevance, despite an abysmal batting average. • Stuck with loss in quality start
Crawford (2-6) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over six innings as the Red Sox fell 4-1 to the Phillies. He struck out eight.

Advice: The right-hander got very little support from his offense or defense, but the difference in the game was the two solo shots Crawford served up to Kyle Schwarber. The quality start was Crawford's sixth of the season, but his first in over a month, while the eight Ks were a season high. Since beating the Giants on May 1, he's gone 0-5 in seven starts with a 5.40 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB in 40 innings. Crawford will try to get back in the win column in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:25 am
