    • Justin Turner returns to Jays’ lineup on Friday
Justin Turner returned to the Blue Jays’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Rays.

Advice: After missing the previous three games due to illness, Turner will jump right back in as the Jays’ designated hitter and will bat cleanup against Tyler Alexander and the Rays on Friday evening. On the season, the 39-year-old is hitting .246/.317/.405 with four homers and 16 RBI in 37 games. Rotoworld Today, 2:56 pm

    • Gets break Friday
Caballero is not in the lineup for Friday's matchup against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Caballero has started in the majority of games for Tampa Bay at shortstop this season, but he will get a break as the Rays kick off their series with Toronto. It's the 27-year-old's sixth absences in 46 this season, and he's slashing .252/.309/.360 with 17 stolen bases and 13 RBI. Amed Rosario will get the start in place of Caballero at shortstop and against the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Today, 1:17 pm

    • Carroll returns to the lineup on Friday
Corbin Carroll is back in the Diamondbacks lineup, batting second against the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: Carroll came off the bench and pinch ran and scored a run on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be frustrated with Carroll’s production so far this season as he’s hitting just .193 with a .539 OPS. Only seven qualified hitters have a lower batting average entering play Friday. It’s not what you want from a first round pick. Rotoworld Today, 12:25 pm

    • Back in lineup
Turner (illness) is back in the lineup as the designated hitter for Friday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Turner was one of three sick Toronto players and missed the starting lineup for team's last three games due to the illness. The primary designated hitter will return against Tampa Bay, slashing .246/.317/.405 on the season with 16 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 12:11 pm

    • Stott returns to the lineup Friday
Bryson Stott is back in the lineup, batting fifth for the Phillies against the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Stott came off the bench on Thursday and had an RBI single and RBI fielder’s choice against the Mets. He’s hitting .280 with a .842 OPS on the season. Rotoworld Today, 12:07 pm

    • Impactful off bench
Stott went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBI and a run during Thursday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Mets.

Advice: Stott initially was left out of the lineup against southpaw Jose Quintana -- a normal occurrence for the lefty-hitting second baseman -- but entered the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh. He walked in his first plate appearance and came around to score on a Kyle Schwarber double, drove in the game-tying run on an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, and brought the Phillies to within one in the 11th after a fielder's choice plated Nick Castellanos. In his last eight games, Stott is batting .478 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:57 pm

    • Positive strides in bullpen session
Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns said Thursday in an interview on SNY that Senga (shoulder) recently had "a good bullpen" session where he was "making some strides."

Advice: Senga had to pull back on facing hitters while he dealt with mechanical issues, but it sounds like he and the Mets were happy with how his last throwing session went. Stearns said he wasn't sure exactly when Senga would be ready to begin a rehab assignment, but it sounds like it could be relatively soon. The right-hander is coming back from a right posterior shoulder capsule strain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:46 pm

    • Bryce Harper in Phillies lineup on Thursday
Bryce Harper is at first base and batting third on Thursday against the Mets.

Advice: Harper was back in Philadelphia’s lineup on Wednesday following a one-game absence due to a migraine. It doesn’t sound like a concern at all moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:36 pm

    • Bryson Stott gets a day off on Thursday
Bryson Stott is not in the Phillies’ lineup on Thursday against the Mets.

Advice: Stott has started 39 of the team’s 44 games so far this season, so this is just a routine day off. Edmundo Sosa will start at shortstop and bat eight while Whit Merrifield will play second base. Since Trea Turner went down with an injury, Merrifield has gotten a lot more playing time, but he’s hitting just .156 in 10 games in May, so there hasn’t been much to write home about. We expect Stott to be back in the lineup for the entire weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:10 pm
