    • Ian Happ hits rare opposite-field homer in loss
Ian Happ had a two-run homer and a bases-loaded walk Friday to supply three of the Cubs’ four runs against the Reds.

Advice: Happ’s 364-foot homer, hit as a left-hander to the most generous part of Wrigley in left-center, was his first to the opposite field since 2022. He has four homers in six games after totaling just two in 47 games to start the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:40 pm

    • Crushes 18th homer
Judge went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the Angels.

Advice: Judge didn't have a great day at the plate overall, striking out four times for the second time this season. However, he was able to give the Yankees an early 2-1 lead with a two-run shot off Patrick Sandoval in the fourth, marking his 12th long ball this month. Five of those homers have come over Judge's last eight games and he's now batting .355 in May with 23 RBI and 26 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:34 am
    • Ends hitless skid
Marte went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Marte produced Arizona's only offense with a two-run double in the third inning. The hit snapped an 0-for-22 run for Marte, who despite the slump, still leads the team's qualified batters with a .265 average. He's also tops among teammates in doubles (13) and is tied for second in RBI (29). Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:41 am
    • Fans nine batters in defeat
Pivetta (2-4) took the loss against Detroit on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Pivetta's nine punchouts were his most since his season debut March 29, and the outing was a nice bounce-back from his five-run, 3.1-inning start his previous time on the mound. However, Boston's offense couldn't generate any runs, saddling the right-hander with his fourth loss. Pivetta has had a couple poor starts this season, but he's allowed two or fewer earned runs in five of his seven appearances. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:49 pm

    • Aaron Judge hits 275th career homer in victory
Aaron Judge hit a two-run homer to help the Yankees to an 8-3 win over the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Judge’s two-run homer gave New York a 2-1 lead. The roundtripper was the 275th of his career, and it tied Jorge Posada for eighth all-time on the Yankees’ list. Judge has been spectacular in the month of May — and most of his career — and is up to 18 homers and 41 RBI. Rotoworld Thursday, 9:25 pm
    • Nick Pivetta strikes out nine, still takes loss
Nick Pivetta struck out nine while allowing just two runs over 5 2/3 innings, but still was charged with a loss Thursday against the Tigers.

Advice: Pivetta gave up only three hits while walking two. He allowed a solo homer to Akil Baddoo, and another run crossed on an RBI single from Mark Canha. The right-hander has struck out at least eight batters in three of his last four chances, and he’s given up no more than two runs in those outings. Pivetta can drive fantasy managers mad with the occasional clunker, but the strikeouts are usually there. He’ll take a 4.08 ERA into his next scheduled outing against Atlanta on Wednesday. • Ketel Marte drives home pair with double in loss
Ketel Marte hit a two-run double in a loss Thursday to the Mets.

Advice: Marte gave the D-backs a 2-0 lead with a two-run double in the third inning off Christian Scott. The infielder remains a solid — if at times inconsistent — option with 13 doubles, 29 RBI and .788 OPS over the first 56 games of the season. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:57 pm
    • Suzuki hits pinch hit home run Thursday
Seiya Suzuki went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run against the Brewers on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Suzuki’s fifth of the season. He pinch hit in the seventh inning a homered off left-handed reliever Bryan Hudson. It was just the second home run for Suzuki since coming off the injured list on May 11th. He seems to be over the injury as he’s now on a seven-game hitting streak. • Matt Vierling will lead off for Tigers on Thursday
Matt Vierling is leading off and playing right field for the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Vierling continues to move around the field and hit in the top three spots in the lineup for the Tigers. The 27-year-old is hitting .312/.337/.610 in 22 games in May with five home runs and 21 RBI. He deserves to be picked up in most leagues while he’s hitting at the top of the lineup and swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:00 pm
