    • Matt Waldron fans eight in quality start
Matt Waldron pitched six innings of two-run ball Monday against the Nationals.

Advice: Waldron struck out eight in a sixth straight quality start. He threw the knuckler 46 times tonight and wound up with nothing but soft contact against the pitch. There’s still not a whole lot to like about the rest of his arsenal, but the knuckleball has come far enough this year to make him a fine bet going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm
    • Strikes out eight in no-decision
Waldron allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Waldron rattled off his sixth straight quality start, and he's gone nine outings without allowing more than two runs. The run support wasn't there for him Monday, leaving him to take his fifth no-decision of the season. Waldron is at a 3.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 84:27 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 16 starts. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at Boston. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:17 pm
    • Notches 12th save
Fairbanks earned his 12th save of the season Monday against Seattle, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Fairbanks picked up his second save in as many days, totaling three strikeouts while not allowing a single baserunner. The 30-year-old has pitched well in the month of June, going 7-for-8 in save chances with a 2.31 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP and an 11:2 K:BB in 11.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm
    • Pete Fairbanks silences M’s to net 12th save
Pete Fairbanks struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Monday against the Mariners to record his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Fairbanks got the call to protect a one-run lead in the final frame after Tampa Bay erased a one-run deficit in the eighth inning and needed just 10 pitches (nine strikes) to slam the door. It was his second straight perfect outing after an ugly blown save last week against the Twins. He’s converted 12 of his 14 save chances this season to accompany a 3.25 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 30/12 K/BB ratio across 27 2/3 innings (28 appearances). Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:41 pm
    • Tosses seven innings
Bassitt allowed two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out two during the loss to Boston.

Advice: Aside from Rafael Devers' two-run shot in the fourth inning, Bassitt had little trouble during the quality start. Bassitt was in line for the win before Toronto's bullpen was tagged with five runs. After producing a 5.03 over his first nine starts, he owns a strong 1.67 ERA over his last seven outings. Bassitt's season ERA sits at 3.45 alongside an 83:35 K:BB. He is currently projected to face the Yankees at home this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 pm

    • Bryan Woo to undergo MRI on ailing hamstring
Bryan Woo will undergo an MRI on his right hamstring on Tuesday.

Advice: Woo didn’t speak after the game. That he’s going for an MRI suggests that even if he gets good news, he’s still going to miss some time. Woo was pulled from his start Monday in the fourth after hurting his leg while throwing a pitch. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:07 pm

    • Aaron Nola starts triple play, tames Tigers in win
Aaron Nola yielded one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Tigers.

Advice: Nola did what he’s done best throughout his career in this one, cruising into the late innings after being staked to a massive lead before even taking the mound at pitcher-friendly Comerica Park. He struck out six batters and didn’t hand out a free pass. A run-scoring single from Carson Kelly in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him over seven strong frames. He also started an ultra-rare 1-3-5 triple play in the third inning of this one, which was the first in the big leagues since 1929 and only third of its kind in big-league history. The 31-year-old upper-echelon fantasy contributor is prone to the occasional blow-up, but he’s allowed three earned runs or fewer in 13 of his 16 outings this season. He’ll aim to keep things rolling on Saturday with a tasty matchup against the Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm

    • Bassitt allows two runs in seven innings Monday
Chris Bassitt allowed two runs in seven innings and got a no-decision against the Red Sox on Monday.

Advice: Bassitt gave up five hits, walked one and struck out two. He was in line for his seventh win of the season before the Toronto bullpen blew a four-run lead in the eighth inning. Bassitt allowed a two-run home run to Rafael Devers, but was otherwise very successful keeping the Boston offense at bay. He’s completed at least seven innings in two of his last four starts and completed at least six innings in three of his last four starts. Bassitt’s ERA is now 3.45 on the season. The 35-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees at home this weekend.

    • Sharp in win
Nola (9-3) picked up the win Monday against Detroit, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks while striking out six over seven innings.

Advice: Nola allowed just one extra-base hit, limiting the Tigers to just one run to notch his sixth quality start over his past seven outings. Despite getting shelled by the Red Sox for eight earned runs on June 13, the 31-year-old owns a robust 3.54 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and a 84:25 K:BB over 94 innings this season. The right-hander is in a favorable position to keep the success going in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend against Miami. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:42 pm
