      Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI against the White Sox on Monday.

      Ohtani (elbow) played catch from 90 feet Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

      Advice: It's the first time he's thrown from that distance since last September's Tommy John surgery. Ohtani continues to progress in his rehab with no issues, and he has certainly shown no ill effects at the plate as a result of the recovery. The Dodgers haven't ruled out the possibility of Ohtani playing the outfield at some point in 2024, although that still seems like a long shot.       The league has suspended Diaz for 10 games for violating the foreign-substance policy, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

      Advice: Diaz was ejected from Sunday's game against the Cubs after failing the "sticky substance" from the crew chief upon entering the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. Diaz has the option to appeal, but if he doesn't, the 30-year-old closer will be out until July 6 against the Pirates.
