    • Checking back into lineup
Smith (glute) will start at third base and bat third in Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Smith had been out of the lineup for the past two days with glute tightness, but he'll be ready to give it a go for the series finale. The 26-year-old will carry a four-game hitting streak into Sunday's contest and is slashing .291/.391/.509 overall wit three home runs, nine RBI and seven runs in his last 15 games. • Red-hot Miranda out of lineup Sunday vs. Houston
Jose Miranda is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda’s reward for reaching in 12 straight at-bats is a rest Sunday for the series finale against the Astros. The 26-year-old will begin the game on the bench with Matt Wallner getting the start after being recalled from St. Paul. Rotoworld Today, 11:19 am

    • Resting after hitting streak ends
Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Miranda will get a breather for the series finale after he went recorded a pair of base hits and was hit by a pitch before flying out in his final at-bat of Saturday's 9-3 win. The flyout ended a streak of 13 consecutive plate appearances in which he got on base and 12 consecutive at-bats with a hit, the latter of which tied an MLB record. Miranda still has a 10-game active hitting streak, which he'll presumably put on hold Sunday before he likely returns to the lineup for Monday's series opener against the White Sox. • Returns to starting nine
Altuve (hand) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Sunday's game against the Twins.

Advice: For just the fourth time all season, Altuve missed out on a start in Saturday's 9-3 loss while he recovered from a hand contusion stemming from being hit by a pitch in Friday's 13-12 win. The day off was apparently all Altuve needed to heal up from the bruise to his left hand, as he'll take back his usual spot in the field and atop the batting order for the series finale. Altuve had been running hot at the dish prior to sitting out Saturday, slashing .400/.449/.556 with two home runs and three stolen bases over his last 10 games. Rotowire.com Today, 10:16 am

    • Josh Smith returning to lineup Sunday vs. Rays
Josh Smith (lower body) is hitting third and playing third base against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Smith missed Friday and Saturday’s game due to glute tightness, but he’s well enough to man the hot corner for Sunday’s finale against the Rays with the Rangers looking to procure a sweep. Jonathan Ornelas retreats to the bench with Smith back in action. Rotoworld Today, 9:09 am

    • Altuve returns to lineup, Alvarez out vs. Twins
Jose Altuve (hand) is back in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: Altuve is in the starting lineup after suffering a bruise on his left hand that kept him out Saturday. That’s good news for the Astros and fantasy managers, but the team will be without Yordan Alvarez (knee) for Sunday’s finale against Minnesota. Altuve will hit leadoff and play second base in his return to the fold. Rotoworld Today, 8:33 am

    • Lasts four innings in no-decision
Peralta did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over four innings while striking out four.

Advice: All three runs against Peralta came in the opening frame when he surrendered a two-run shot to Will Smith and failed to retire any of the first four batters he faced. The right-hander held the Dodgers scoreless over the next three innings but would not return for the fifth after reaching 104 pitches. Peralta had gone at least five innings four straight outings coming in, though he's now issued multiple walks in each of his last four. On the bright side, he also induced 21 whiffs on the night despite posting just four strikeouts. Rotowire.com Today, 5:36 am
    • Short start versus Marlins
Crochet allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings in a no-decision versus the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Crochet failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 24. He wasn't efficient Saturday, requiring 93 pitches (65 strikes) to get through his four frames, though he did a decent job of limiting the damage. It's a rare misstep for the southpaw, who is now at a 3.08 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 146:23 K:BB over 105.1 innings through 19 starts this season. Crochet is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:58 pm

    • Freddy Peralta lasts four innings in no-decision
Freddy Peralta lasted just four innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Saturday, surrendering three runs on four hits and three walks.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the night. He served up a two-run homer to Will Smith before he recorded an out in the ballgame then allowed a third run as Andy Pages bounced into a fielder’s choice in the opening inning. He settled in nicely afterwards, but still needed 104 pitches (64 strikes) to get through 12 outs. Peralta got a whopping 21 swings and misses on the night — 10 of those on his slider — while posting a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll look to finish the first half strong as he totes a 3.95 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 124/36 K/BB ratio (98 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Nationals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:15 pm
