    • On bench Wednesday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Advice: After making back-to-back starts behind the dish, Murphy will give way to Travis d'Arnaud on Wednesday. Murphy swatted a solo home run in Tuesday's series opener against San Francisco. Rotowire.com Today, 12:20 pm
    • On bench Wednesday
Jimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Cleveland.

Advice: Jimenez will take a seat for the second time in four games, giving way to Gavin Sheets at DH. Since being brought off the IL on June 23, Jimenez is 8-for-29 (.276) with a pair of doubles. Rotowire.com Today, 11:58 am
    • On verge of rehab assignment
Bogaerts (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment within the next day or two, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union Tribune reports.

Advice: Bogaerts had a CT scan of his left shoulder Monday, the results of which indicated that he is ready to resume playing. Acee indicates that the infielder will likely head out on a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso in the coming days, and team officials have previously suggested that a rehab stint would last 7 to 10 days. Though manager Mike Shildt recently said that there is no timeline for Bogaerts' activation from the injured list, if all goes well moving forward, he could rejoin the Padres for their home series against Atlanta that begins July 12. • Goes yard Tuesday
Soler went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Soler hit .284 in June, but he had just three homers over 26 contests for the month. He's off to a decent start in July, though his power remains down overall. The designated hitter is slashing .229/.309/.406 with 10 homers, 32 RBI, 42 runs scored, 17 doubles and no stolen bases through 73 games this season. His .177 ISO is the lowest it's been since the 2017 campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 9:44 am
    • Traded to Milwaukee
The Brewers acquired Civale from the Rays on Wednesday in exchange for minor-league infielder Gregory Barrios, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Civale has an ERA north of 5.00 through 17 starts this season, but his xFIP is almost a full run lower at 4.09, and he should help stabilize the rotation for the division-leading Brewers. Shane Baz was scratched from his scheduled start for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday and appears a likely candidate to replace Civale in the Tampa Bay rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 6:12 am

    • Civale traded to Brewers
Brewers acquired RHP Aaron Civale from the Rays, according to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman.

Advice: The Rays acquired Civale last July from the Guardians in a deal for Kyle Mansardo. He went 4-9 with a 5.17 ERA in 27 starts for the Rays. Civale has a 5.07 ERA despite a 4.09 xFIP this season so this could be a shrewd pickup by the Brewers. Not much has changed with his fantasy value as he moves into the Milwaukee rotation. • Collects three hits, homer
Judge went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Judge accounted for half of the Yankees' hits Tuesday, including a solo home run in the seventh inning off Sam Moll. The long ball was Judge's 32nd of the season, five more than any other player in baseball. After seeing his average drop from .311 to .267 last season, Judge is batting a league-leading .321 across 374 plate appearances in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:51 pm
    • Perfect in non-save outing
Finnegan struck out one over a perfect inning in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.

Advice: Finnegan entered in the top of the ninth in a 2-2 game and fired a perfect frame. The 32-year-old has delivered four consecutive scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk over that stretch. Finnegan owns the third-most saves in baseball with 22. • Snags fourth win
Clase (4-1) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Tuesday over the White Sox.

Advice: Clase kept the game tied at 6-6 in the top of the ninth inning, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side. Bo Naylor's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame sealed the win for the Guardians, giving Clase his first decision since May 19. The closer is on an eight-inning scoreless streak and has maintained elite ratios with a 0.67 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB through 40.1 innings overall. Clase is also 25-for-28 in save chances this year, with the Guardians having bounced back to win in all three of his blown saves. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:36 pm
