    • Receiving afternoon off
Diaz is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Diaz will receive a breather for Thursday's day game after he went 2-for-4 with an RBI while catching all nine innings of the Rockies' 6-5 win Wednesday night. Hunter Goodman will handle the catching duties for Colorado. Rotowire.com Today, 7:22 am

    • Three hits, three RBI in win
Neto went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: Neto singled in his first trip to the plate before coming around to score on a Mickey Moniak homer in the following at-bat as the Angels took an early 4-0 lead. The shortstop would then drive home three runs of his own over the course of the night, starting with an RBI double in the third and finishing with a two-run blast in the eighth, giving him his 12th long ball of the campaign. Neto has now posted multiple hits in back-to-back games, while Wednesday marked his third three-hit performance this season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:47 am

    • Bounces back with sixth victory
Severino (6-3) earned the win over Washington on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Severino surrendered a season-high seven runs over six frames in his previous start, but he rebounded Wednesday with a much more effective outing. The veteran hurler didn't give up any extra-base hits and held the Nationals scoreless outside of the fourth inning. Severino notched his eighth quality start of the campaign but just his second over his past five appearances. While he's been up and down this season and is on pace for a career-low strikeout rate, Severino has given the Mets plenty of length, going at least six innings in 12 of his 18 starts, including in each of his past seven. • Zach Neto collects three hits, homers in win
Zach Neto went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored, and three RBI to lead the Angels to a 7-2 win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Neto now has five hits in two games since getting a breather on Monday. He put the Angels on the board with a base hit in the second inning to drive in a run before scoring on a home run by Mickey Moniak. Neto drove in a second run with a double in the third, then took Daniel Robert deep for a home run in the eighth. The 23-year-old shortstop is hitting .250/.297/.432 with 12 homers, 35 runs scored, 42 RBI, and 14 steals across 331 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:22 pm

    • Severino holds Nats in check to earn sixth win
Luis Severino allowed two earned runs on four hits over 6 1/3 innings in Wednesday’s win over the Nationals.

Advice: It was a solid outing for Severino, who limited the Nats to just two runs despite allowing seven baserunners. Severino saw four of those baserunners come in the fourth inning, when he surrendered his only two runs of the night on an RBI single to Juan Yepez. Severino also hit two batters in this one, although neither came around to score. Severino’s next start won’t come until after the All-Star break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:50 pm
    • Pablo López gives up two runs in no-decision
Pablo López allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: López took the ball for the second game of Wednesday’s twin bill and surrendered only four hits to the White Sox, including a solo homer to light-hitting backstop Martín Maldonado. He finished with five strikeouts and only issued one walk. He generated 18 swinging strikes, including nine on his four-seam fastball, and finished with a respectable 30 percent CSW. It was a halfway decent rebound effort after getting lit up for six runs over five innings his last time out against the Astros. The 28-year-old righty will bring a bloated 5.11 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 121/23 K/BB ratio across 104 innings (19 starts) into the All-Star break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:47 pm

    • Better in no-decision
Lopez allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the White Sox. He struck out five.

Advice: While he failed to earn the win, it was a much better outing from Lopez after he allowed six runs on eight hits over five innings in his last start against the Astros. Overall, it's been an inconsistent year so far for Lopez, who'll carry a disappointing 5.11 ERA into the All-Star break. However, a 1.18 WHIP, 121:23 K:BB and an xERA of 3.38 indicate that Lopez could be due for some positive regression in the second half. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:52 pm

    • Jorge Soler (illness) remains out of Giants lineup
Jorge Soler (illness) remains out of the Giants’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s showdown against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It’s the second straight game that the 32-year-old slugger has missed while feeling a bit under the weather. Mike Yastrzemski will start in his place in right field and will bat seventh for the Giants against Jays’ right-hander Chris Bassitt on Wednesday evening in San Francisco. • Sitting again Wednesday
Soler (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Soler was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine due to an illness and will remain on the bench again for Wednesday's contest. Patrick Bailey will rest his legs as San Francisco's designated hitter while Curt Casali receives a start behind the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:16 pm
