      Advice: Singer was scratched from his last scheduled start Thursday versus the Twins due to an illness, but he now appears to be on track to return to the mound relatively soon. The right-hander is in the midst of a career year with Kansas City, producing a 2.63 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 64 strikeouts over 61.2 innings in his first 11 starts of 2024.       Ronel Blanco took his first loss Friday after giving up four runs in 4 2/3 innings against the Twins.

      Advice: Blanco walked three and gave up a two-run homer to Trevor Larnach. Apart from the time he was ejected for his sticky stuff, this is the first time this year that Blanco has failed to complete five innings.       Advice: Aaron Judge did most of the damage against Hicks, taking him deep for a three-run home run in the third inning and a solo shot in the sixth. The five runs allowed were the most Hicks has given up in a start this season, though it was a positive to see him issue no walks for the fourth time in 12 outings. Homers are becoming a problem for the right-hander -- he's allowed five of them over his last four starts after giving up just one across his first eight outings. Freeman was second in the order Friday against southpaw Patrick Corbin, but he'll likely bat lower against right-handers moving forward. Freeman's steal was his second in five games and his eighth of the campaign. He's still at a mediocre .223/.317/.354 slash line with four home runs, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored and 11 doubles over 203 plate appearances overall, but he's hit .295 (18-for-61) over his last 16 contests.       Advice: The homer was Fry's fourth in his last eight games. The 28-year-old has enjoyed a memorable May, going 23-for-60 (.383) with seven homers and 18 RBI over 21 contests for the month. He's slashing .352/.485/.629 with eight homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases over 40 games this season. Fry offers a right-handed option at multiple positions, though he's unlikely to be needed in left field as much with Steven Kwan back from a hamstring injury.
