• Weeks away from rehab assignment
Peraza (shoulder) has been hitting at the Yankees' complex in Tampa while continuing to progress through his throwing program, but manager Aaron Bone said Sunday that the infielder remains weeks away from playing in minor-league games, per MLB.com.

Advice: Peraza's shoulder issue first cropped up Feb. 25 and was followed by renewed soreness after he attempted to return to Grapefruit League play March 5. He has been throwing regularly since the first week of April, so the team appears to be giving the 23-year-old ample time to fully recover. Peraza is one of three Yankees third basemen currently on the injured list, as DJ LeMahieu (foot) was pulled early from a minor-league rehab start Tuesday while Jon Berti (groin) has yet to begin a rehab assignment. • Taking grounders
Marcano (knee) has been taking groundballs as he begins to ramp up his baseball activities, per MLB.com.

Advice: Marcano continues to rehab from the ACL surgery he underwent in August of last year. The 24-year-old was placed on the 10-day IL on March 19, so he'll be eligible to return as soon as he's physically ready to do so. Given that Marcano didn't see any spring training action, he'll likely require an extended rehab assignment in the minors before the Padres consider promoting him to the big-league roster. • Joey Wendle goes 0-for-4 in loss to Giants
Joey Wendle went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: It seems way off that Wendle has started three of the Mets’ last five games while Tyrone Taylor has been on the bench for all five. To be fair, Brett Baty was unavailable for two of those, making Wendle a reasonable option at third. However, the Mets put Wendle at second and Jeff McNeil in left field tonight, even though Taylor in left with McNeil at his usual position was almost surely the better option. • Brendan Rodgers hits grand slam in Rockies’ win
Brendan Rodgers’ first homer of the year was a grand slam Tuesday to lead the Rockies past the Padres 7-4.

Advice: It was his first career slam. Rodgers is batting just .197/.230/.324 in 74 plate appearances, but his contact numbers are a little better than usual and, due to some chilly temps, Coors Field hasn’t played like Coors Field just yet. He still might offer some mixed-league value in the end. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:37 pm
  • Three hits, homer in win
Espinal went 3-for-4 with a home run and two total RBI in Tuesday's 8-1 victory over the Phillies.

Advice: After picking up a pair of base hits earlier in the game, Espinal delivered the final blow in Cincinnati's 8-1 victory, smacking a solo home run off Ricardo Pinto in the eighth inning, his first of the season. It's just the second multi-hit game of the year for the 29-year-old Espinal -- he'd been stuck in a 1-for-19 slump over his previous seven contests. Overall, he's slashing .178/.264/.267 with seven RBI, three runs scored and three stolen bases across 17 games. While Espinal's performance Tuesday was encouraging, he'll likely retreat to a bench role when Jonathan India (illness) is ready to return. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm

  • Swipes two more bags
Turang went 1-for-2 with a walk and two stolen bases in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Turang is now 12-for-12 in stolen base attempts this year, tying Elly De La Cruz for the league lead. After a disappointing rookie campaign, the 24-year-old Turang has gotten off to an excellent start this season, batting .319 with an .847 OPS, two homers, 12 runs scored and nine RBI through 21 games. • Swipes bag, scores twice
Freeman went 1-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Freeman's RBI single in the seventh inning got the Guardians on the board, and he came around to score on a sacrifice fly. He's started to separate himself in a crowded battle for playing time, going 7-for-19 (.368) with two home runs and five RBI over his last six games. Freeman is slashing .222/.296/.413 with three homers, 12 RBI, three steals and 12 runs scored through 71 plate appearances as Cleveland's primary center fielder. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm

  • Justin Turner totals two hits in loss to Royals
Justin Turner went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Royals.

Advice: Turner singled in the third inning to drive in George Springer, upping his RBI total on the season to 12. His single ended an 0-for-10 streak and lifted his average to .310 on the season. The veteran infielder continues to serve primarily as the Blue Jays designated hitter while hitting near the middle of a potent lineup. As long as he stays hot, Turner can be counted on to produce in multiple categories for fantasy managers.

  • Paredes homers in loss to Tigers
Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: In a rare occurrence, Paredes homered to left-center field instead of down the line in left field. The ball left the bat at 100.8 mph and traveled 384 feet. It was the 25-year-old’s sixth home run on the season to go along with 16 RBI. He’s been strong again to start the season, which he’ll need to continue to be since one of the best prospects in baseball, Junior Caminero, plays his position and is just one level away. Still, Paredes will continue to play if he keeps hitting, and there are no indications that last year’s breakout was a fluke. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:01 pm
