Garrett Crochet strikes out eight in no-decision
Garrett Crochet held the Brewers to one run over six innings while striking out eight Saturday in a no-decision for the White Sox.
Advice: Crochet scattered five hits with one walk. The left-hander continues to impress even while playing for arguably the worst team in baseball, and he’s struck out 19 over his last two outings while allowing just three runs over 12 innings. Any question that Crochet has the stuff to succeed as a starter was pretty silly, but it should have been answered now. The questions of whether he can handle the modern rigors remain in doubt, but right now, Crochet is an excellent fantasy option even if the wins won’t come. A chance to impress is scheduled over the weekend against the Red Sox.
