    • Ben Rice takes a seat on Tuesday against Mets
Ben Rice is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s Subway Series opener against the Mets.

Advice: Rice will take a seat after going 0-for-5 with three strikeouts during Monday’s contest against the Rays. The 25-year-old first baseman is mired in a 4-for-44 tailspin that includes a staggering 21 punchouts since his three-homer explosion against the Red Sox back on July 6. It’ll be Jahmai Jones leading off on Tuesday night against Mets veteran southpaw Jose Quintana. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago

    • Absent from Detroit lineup
Greene is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

Advice: Greene isn't dealing with any known injury, but it's a little odd to see him sitting out against righty Xzavion Curry, especially since he was just out of the lineup Saturday versus a left-hander. The Tigers are going with an outfield of Justyn-Henry Malloy, Matt Vierling and Wenceel Perez on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:48 pm

    • On bench Tuesday
Rice is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Mets.

Advice: It will be the right-handed hitting J.D. Davis handling first base as the Mets send southpaw Jose Quintana to the hill. Rice will yield the leadoff spot to Jahmai Jones. Rotowire.com Today, 12:21 pm

    • Knocks game-winning hit
Tovar went 3-for-7 with an RBI and a run scored in Monday's extra-innings win over Boston.

Advice: Tovar singled and scored during Colorado's four-run third inning and he later delivered a walk-off single in the 12th. He's collected multiple hits in seven of his last eight games, including six in a row. During that eight-game span, Tovar owns a 1.330 OPS with eight extra-base knocks. His season slash line is up to .280/.307/.476 with 46 extra-base hits and 47 RBI through 98 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:46 am

    • Ezequiel Tovar wins game for Rockies in 12th
Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-7 and delivered the game-winning hit in the 12th as the Rockies edged the Red Sox 9-8 on Monday.

Advice: Tovar also had a chance to win the game in the 11th, but he struck out then. He came through with two outs and the bases loaded in the 12th after the Rockies had previously tied the game on a Jake Cave single. The Red Sox might not have needed to face him then, but sometimes you just have to intentionally walk Jacob Stallings and Aaron Schunk in order to “improve your chances.” Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:34 pm

    • Crushes 23rd homer
Harper went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 7-2 loss at Minnesota.

Advice: The Philadelphia superstar opened the game's scoring with a titanic 424-foot, two-run homer off Bailey Ober in his first career at-bat at Target Field. After being slowed by hamstring and hand injuries to open this month, Harper is now hitting .242 (8-for-33) with three homers, seven runs scored, seven RBI and six walks in nine July games. Overall, the two-time NL MVP is slashing .297/.395/.578 across 375 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm

    • Harper belts 23rd home run in loss to Twins Monday
Bryce Harper went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Twins on Monday.

Advice: Harper’s home run was his 23rd of the season and third in his last six games. He hit a two-run shot off Bailey Ober in the third inning. Harper’s hitting .297 with a .973 OPS and 65 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:54 pm

    • Suffers fourth loss
Myers (6-4) took the loss Monday against the Cubs, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Despite matching his career high in strikeouts with six, a mark he's reached four times in his last six starts, Myers was saddled with the loss in this 87-pitch outing. The Milwaukee rookie has impressed of late, pitching to a 1.95 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB across 50.2 innings since the beginning of June. DL Hall (knee/forearm) and Joe Ross (back) could return soon as they continue rehab assignments at Triple-A Nashville, but Myers appears locked into a rotation spot. The 25-year-old currently lines up to face the Marlins at home in his next start this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm

    • Myers allows two earned runs in loss to Cubs
Tobias Myers allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Myers gave up six hits, walked two and struck out six. He was removed after a one out single by Dansby Swanson in the sixth inning. Hoby Milner immediately got David Bote to ground into an inning-ending double play. It wasn’t a quality start, but Myers has completed at least five innings in each of his last eight starts and has allowed more than three runs in only one of those games. He continues to impress in his rookie season with a 3.14 ERA. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Marlins at home this weekend.
