    • Not in Atlanta lineup
Murphy is not in the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Phillies.

Advice: Travis d'Arnaud will do the catching for Max Fried in the series opener. Murphy has a 1.050 OPS over his last 12 games and would seem to be a good bet to be in the lineup Saturday and Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:22 pm

    • Grabs sixth win Thursday
Stanek (6-2) got the win over the Orioles on Thursday, firing a clean seventh inning during which he recorded two strikeouts.

Advice: Stanek entered the game a bit earlier than customary and delivered a crisp 11-pitch effort that saw him locate nine of his offerings for strikes. The hard-throwing right-hander then became the pitcher of record when the Mariners broke open a 2-2 tie with a five-run inning in the home half of the frame. Stanek's six victories are a career high, and the ultra-efficient outing against a dangerous offense was a welcome sight after the Twins had touched him up for two runs over one inning in his most recent appearance Sunday. • Continues to pitch better
Neris tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Thursday's 10-2 win over the Phillies. He allowed one hit and struck out two.

Advice: After a rough patch in the middle of June, Neris has now strung together four straight scoreless appearances. That's allowed the veteran reliever to lower his season ERA to a more respectable 4.11. Neris logged a stellar 1.71 ERA across 68.1 innings last year for the Astros, so there is potential for continued improvement in 2024. The better play has also likely kept him locked into the closer role for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:30 pm

    • Smacks homer Thursday
Garver went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Garver didn't start Tuesday or Wednesday due to a sore wrist. He played in a non-defensive capacity Thursday and lifted a seventh-inning homer as the designated hitter while batting second in the lineup -- the highest spot he's hit all year. The 33-year-old struggled with a .187 batting average in June, though he slugged .453 with five homers, five doubles and 17 RBI. Overall, he's posted a .177/.295/.367 slash line with 11 long balls, 33 RBI, 28 runs scored and 12 doubles across 281 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:47 pm

    • Homer, steal in win
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, one stolen base and two total runs scored in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Rodriguez earned his first multi-hit effort and swatted his first homer in 15 games. During the slump, he went just 7-for-56 (.125) while failing to log an extra-base hit or RBI. Rodriguez's recent poor play has seen him bounce around the lineup in an effort to get his bat going -- he hit fifth Thursday but had batted seventh in the previous two games. Overall, he's slashing .247/.296/.336 with eight homers, 30 RBI, 39 runs scored and 18 steals through 88 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:42 pm

    • Records 10th steal
Adell went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Adell's steal was his first since June 8 and his 10th of the season. The outfielder hit just .185 with a 4:20 BB:K over 21 contests between thefts, so he wasn't doing much to give himself an opportunity to make an impact with baserunning. Overall, he's at a .186/.250/.390 slash line with 13 home runs, 36 RBI, 32 runs scored, seven doubles and a triple over 260 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:24 pm

    • Julio Rodríguez blasts first homer since June 15
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and also stole a base on Thursday, powering the Mariners to a 7-3 victory over the Orioles.

Advice: Rodríguez connected for his first homer since June 15 when he launched a towering 428-foot blast to left field off Orioles ace Corbin Burnes in the fifth inning. It was his eighth round-tripper of the season and a much-needed sign for the 23-year-old superstar, who has been mired in a season-long tailspin at the dish. The absence of over-the-fence pop has been the most alarming trend in his sudden decline, so this performance certainly qualifies as a step in the right direction. He’s still a long way from getting back to his previous form, but there are some signs of life now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm

    • Mitch Garver goes deep Thursday in return to lineup
Mitch Garver blasted a two-run homer on Thursday against the Orioles in his return to the lineup.

Advice: We’re going to safely assume that Garver’s right wrist is feeling better after watching him sock a no-doubter to left-center field off Orioles reliever Keegan Akin in the seventh inning of this one. It was his 11th big fly of the season and third time he’s gone deep in eight games since June 24. The 33-year-old veteran backstop was back in Seattle’s lineup at designated hitter on Thursday after missing a pair of games earlier this week due to a right wrist contusion that he suffered when he was hit by a pitch last weekend. It doesn’t look like a massive concern anymore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:04 pm

    • Mitch Garver back in lineup Thursday vs. Orioles
Mitch Garver (wrist) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Garver is back at designated hitter for Thursday’s game following a brief two-game absence due to a right wrist contusion. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:04 pm
