    Advice: The specifics of the injury are unclear, and Uribe is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. The 23-year-old picked up three saves early in the season for the Brewers, but he was demoted in early May with a 6.91 ERA and 14:12 K:BB over 14 outings. Uribe was also suspended six games for his role in a benches-clearing brawling just before being demoted, though the ban was reduced to four games on appeal, per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.     Advice: Woodford has failed to pitch past the fifth inning in both of his starts for the White Sox so far. The Red Sox jumped on him right away Thursday, with Jarren Duran leading off the game with a solo home run. Enmanuel Valdez added a three-run shot in the fourth inning. Woodford doesn't have a great track record as a starter in the majors, but he could remain in the rotation for another turn, as Mike Clevinger (elbow) will require a rehab start before returning.     Diamondbacks recalled LHP Joe Jacques from Triple-A Reno.

    Advice: Jacques rejoins Arizona’s bullpen ahead of Thursday’s series opener against the Padres with fellow southpaw Blake Walston hitting the injured list with elbow inflammation. The 29-year-old lefty made one relief appearance earlier this season for the Diamondbacks after being claimed off waivers from the Red Sox. He figures to stick around for an extended period.     According to The Seattle Times’ Adam Jude, Andrés Muñoz (back) is “determined to pitch through his back strain” and will likely avoid an IL stint.

    Advice: The Mariners’ closer has been pitching through the strain since the second game of the season, which may explain why he has had some “off nights” during the 2024 season. However, he has also pitched to a 1.73 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 26 innings, so it hasn’t been impacting him too much. “I’ve been here before,” said Munoz. “I’ve felt like this before, so I know we can manage that and be ready to go. ...
