  • Ortiz homers to lift Brewers over Rangers
    Joey Ortiz went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.

    Advice: Ortiz hit his seventh homer of the season into the left field stands to give the Brewers a 2-1 lead in the fifth. Ortiz has now hit safely in three of his last five games and is slashing .257/.373/.371 in June with four extra-base hits and eight RBI. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

  • Josh Smith drives in lone run for Rangers in loss
    Josh Smith went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Brewers.

    Advice: Smith singled off Hoby Milner in the first inning to score Corey Seager from second, giving the Rangers an early 1-0 lead and their only run of the game. Smith was responsible for just one of five hits the Rangers had on the night, but the young third baseman has turned in a solid June, going 22-for-61 (.361) at the plate with eight extra-base hits and 10 RBI.   • Bryan Reynolds homers in win
    Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-5 win over the Reds on Sunday.

    Advice: Reynolds homered off Hunter Greene in the first inning in an at-bat that started with Greene puking on the mound. Reynolds later crushed a 426-foot shot at 106.3 mph for his 13th home run of the season to go along with 46 RBI and a .280/.347/.475 slash line.   • Nick Gonzales has three hits in win
    Nick Gonzales went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

    Advice: It was a much-needed strong game for Gonzales, who came into today hitting just .224 in 20 games in June. The 25-year-old is still barreling the ball 11 percent in 2024 but his groundball rate has gone up to 52 percent in June and he’s pulling the ball more, which has led to more rollover groundballs and fewer line drives all over the field. He remains a consistent part of the Pirates lineup but more games like this would be nice to see. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

  • India has two hits, two steals in loss
    Jonathan India went 2-for-2 with two walks, three runs scored, and two steals in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

    Advice: India is enjoying a tremendous month of June, going 26-for-72 (.361) with two home runs, 15 runs scored, and three steals. India has also been leading off since TJ Friedl went on the IL, which is more good news for his fantasy value. With Noelvi Marte also nearing a return and this Reds lineup getting deeper, India’s fantasy stock is on the rise. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago
     
  • George Springer finds power stroke in win
    George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

    Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out.   • Snaps homer drought
    Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 4-1 win against the Marlins.

    Advice: Pasquantino put the Royals on the board in the fourth inning with his solo blast to right field. It was the first baseman's first long ball since the first day of June, a span of 20 contests. While Pasquantino hasn't been able to hit the ball over the fence regularly this season, he does have 20 doubles (tied for 10th in the majors) and has already blown away his previous season-best mark with 47 RBI through 76 games.   • Doubles twice, scores three runs
    India batted leadoff and went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Monday's win over Pittsburgh.

    Advice: India, who replaced the injured TJ Friedl (hamstring) atop Cincinnati's batting order, picked up a hit and scored a run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. It was his third straight multi-hit game, boosting his season OPS from .696 to .732 in the process. He's gone 11-for-23 (.478) with five extra-base hits over his last six games.   • Bryan Reynolds pushes hit streak to 21 straight
    Bryan Reynolds extended his hitting streak to 21 consecutive games on Monday in the Pirates’ loss to the Reds.
