      Nolan Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk versus the Brewers on Monday.

      Advice: The second hit also would have been at least a double, but it hit first base umpire Brian O’Nora on its way down the first base line, resulting in a single. Jones has had issues with strikeouts since coming off the IL last month, but he’s hitting the ball harder than he did in April and drawing a bunch of walks (12 in 15 games).       Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake said Carlos Rodón is working to adjust his approach as team’s key on hitting his fastball.

      Advice: Speaking to The Athletic, Matt Blake said he doesn’t have long-term concerns with Rodón despite the left-hander allowing 20 earned runs and a 1.253 OPS in his last three outings. “I think it’s being ready to adapt your plan early because it’s clear that teams that can hit the fastball are targeting him early,” Blake said. “There are more guys like him who throw the ball hard with good profiles and... there’s just less room for error with that stuff. Even if that’s how you got paid, that’s not necessarily your map for success down the road.       Advice: Neto's home run was part of the Angels' five-run ninth inning, but the comeback attempt fell just short. It was his 11th long ball of the year and snapped a 10-game homerless drought.       Advice: Candelario sat out four consecutive games due to a hamstring injury before returning Sunday. Once he's ready to play the field, it won't be as the club's primary third baseman. While Candelario was out, Noelvi Marte was reinstated from a suspension and became the regular starter at third base. That means Candelario will move to either DH or first base.       Advice: Witt had gone 10 games without a multi-hit effort before Sunday's performance. The shortstop closed the month 33-for-108 (.306) with 12 extra-base hits, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and six stolen bases over 27 contests. Through 86 games this year, Witt is slashing .312/.363/.534 with 12 home runs, 22 stolen bases, 54 RBI, 65 runs, 22 doubles and nine triples. He's made modest gains in plate discipline with a 7.3 percent walk rate (up from 5.9 percent last year) and 16.7 percent strikeout rate (down from 17.4 percent) to sustain his elite production.       Zach Neto crushed a three-run homer on Sunday in the Angels’ loss to the Tigers.

      Advice: Neto kick-started a ninth-inning rally for the Angels on Sunday afternoon that came up just short as they nearly erased a six-run deficit with five runs in the final frame. Neto played a pivotal role in the comeback with a 414-foot moonshot -- his 11th big fly of the season -- off Tigers reliever Shelby Miller. The 23-year-old former top prospect is quietly putting together an impressive full-season debut with a .738 OPS to go along with 11 homers and 11 steals in 300 plate appearances over 81 games.       Nick Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBI, and a stolen base on Sunday in a thrilling 7-6 win over the Marlins.

      Advice: Castellanos stepped up in a huge way Sunday as the Phillies try to make do without Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and J.T. Realmuto. He was in the middle of important rallies in the fifth and sixth innings and nearly hit a home run that was knocked down by Bryan De La Cruz right at the left field wall.
