    • Logan O’Hoppe homers again Saturday vs. Tigers
Logan O’Hoppe slugged a game-tying solo shot on Saturday, leading the Angels to an eventual extra-inning victory over the Tigers.

Advice: O’Hoppe’s eighth-inning blast -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- came off Los Angeles reliever Logan Vest to open the frame. He finished 2-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in the extra-inning affair. The 24-year-old’s promising, albeit injury-shortened, showing from last year has carried over into this season as he’s on pace to get pretty close to the lofty 30-homer mark, which is extremely rare for a modern-era backstop. He’s gone deep three times in his last six games and five times overall since June 1. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Goes yard twice in rout
Machado went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Saturday's 11-1 rout of the Red Sox.

Advice: The veteran third baseman launched a two-run homer in the third inning and a three-run blast in the fifth, both off Tanner Houck. Machado has hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games, batting .415 (17-for-41) with four of his 10 homers on the season over that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
    • Nails down 12th save
Hader struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Mets.

Advice: The Astros' late comeback resulted in a save chance, and Hader converted with ease. He's picked up five saves over 11 outings in June while surrendering four runs and posting a 16:1 K:BB across 10.2 innings for the month. Overall, he's 12-for-13 in save chances with a 3.68 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 59:11 K:BB through 36.2 innings this season, with the Astros' mediocre play being the main reason for his reduced saves total, though the team is trending up by going 9-2 over the last two weeks. • Hader picks up 12th save against Mets Saturday
Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Hader’s save was his 12th of the season and fifth of June. He struck out two batters in the process. After allowing nine runs in his first 11 appearances, Hader’s allowed only six runs in his last 24 appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:45 pm
    • Manny Machado homers twice in rout of Red Sox
Manny Machado homered twice and drove in five runs in an 11-1 blowout victory over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Machado blasted both homers off Tanner Houck, a three-run shot in the fifth and a two-run blast in the second. It’s the first multi-homer game for the 31-year-old in 2024, but five of his 10 homers have come thus far in the month of June. Machado’s also picked up multiple hits in his last three games and six times since June 19, and appears to be righting the ship after a disappointing first two-plus months of the campaign. • Aaron Judge reaches three times against Jays
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Judge knocked a base hit in the first inning, then drew an intentional walk in the third. With another single in the fifth, Judge drove in the first run of the game for New York. The 32-year-old slugger is slashing an MVP-esque .313/.434/.700 with 30 homers, 64 RBI, and 80 RBI across 365 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:04 pm

    • Slugs decisive homer
      O'Hoppe went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-2 win against Detroit.

Advice: O'Hoppe broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning with his three-run blast to left field. The backstop has struggled at the plate of late, going just 6-for-33 (.182 average) with 12 strikeouts over his past 10 games, though he has two homers and six RBI during that stretch. O'Hoppe is one of six catchers in the league this season with double-digit home runs, and he ranks eighth among backstops with 37 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:53 am

    • George Springer in Saturday’s lineup vs. Yankees
George Springer (hand) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: This certainly qualifies as a welcome surprise for fantasy managers following Springer’s early exit from Friday’s game against the Yankees after being hit on his left hand by a 93.5 mph fastball. The positive news here is that precautionary X-rays came back negative for any fractures and the fact that he’s already back in the lineup means that the swelling isn’t bad enough that it’s preventing him from gripping a bat. It’s been a down year offensively for the 34-year-old veteran outfielder, but the Blue Jays need his bat in the lineup if they’re going to have any shot at turning things around before the trade deadline. • In lineup Saturday after HBP
Springer (hand) is starting in right field and batting fifth for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Springer left in the seventh inning of Friday's 16-5 loss to the Yankees after taking a fastball of his left hand in the bottom of the fifth. Springer is hitting .207 for the season, but over his last five games he's gone 8-for-19 with three home runs and 10 RBI. He'll face off against Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes on Saturday.
