    • Better in no-decision
Lopez allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the White Sox. He struck out five.

Advice: While he failed to earn the win, it was a much better outing from Lopez after he allowed six runs on eight hits over five innings in his last start against the Astros. Overall, it's been an inconsistent year so far for Lopez, who'll carry a disappointing 5.11 ERA into the All-Star break. However, a 1.18 WHIP, 121:23 K:BB and an xERA of 3.38 indicate that Lopez could be due for some positive regression in the second half. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Sitting against southpaw
Benson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Even though injuries have decimated the Cincinnati outfield of late, the lefty-hitting Benson will still hit the bench Wednesday while the Reds oppose a southpaw (Kyle Freeland). Despite slashing just .173/.225/.309 since the beginning of June, Benson looks like he should still have a regular spot in the lineup against right-handed pitching, at least until Cincinnati reclaims some health. • Strong start in return from injury
Snell (groin) didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays. He tossed five scoreless innings, striking out three while allowing one hit and three walks.

Advice: Making his return from a stint on the 15-day injured list with a left groin strain, Snell carried a 9.51 ERA through his first six starts of the season but finally showcased a glimpse of the form he displayed throughout last year's Cy Young-winning campaign with the Padres. Snell was on a limited pitch count after making his first start in over a month, but he still managed to cover a season-high five innings on an efficient 73 pitches. His fastball topped out at 97.7 miles per hour, which was also a season high. Snell will look to push forward with one more solid start before the All-Star break; he's tentatively set to pitch over the weekend against the Twins. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 am
    • Stellar performance in win
Naylor went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run, two walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Advice: Naylor took Kenta Maeda deep in the first inning and later added the go-ahead hit in the top of the tenth in Tuesday's win. In between, he stole his fourth base of the season, his first swipe since May 14. Naylor was recently named to his first All-Star Game on the back of a fantastic first half. The 27-year-old became the fifth player this season to reach 70 RBI, and he's added 22 homers while hitting .247/.324/.503 through 86 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:59 pm

    • Blake Snell goes five scoreless in return from IL
Blake Snell shut out the Blue Jays for five innings as the Giants prevailed 4-3 in his return from the injured list.

Advice: Snell came into this one with a 9.51 ERA and a .308 average against in six starts for the Giants, but he allowed just one hit tonight. He struck out three and walked three while throwing 73 pitches to 18 batters, as the Giants decided to get him out of there before anyone could see him for a third time. The 1-0 lead the Giants had when Snell was pulled briefly turned into a 3-1 deficit in the seventh, so he remained 0-3 for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:36 pm
    • Josh Naylor has three hits, combo meal in win
Josh Naylor went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a stolen base in a 9-8 extra-innings win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Naylor is now up to 22 home runs, 70 RBI, and four steals on the season in what has been a tremendous campaign. His .247 batting average leaves a little to be desired, but he’s been hitting the ball hard and his underlying numbers suggested that better days were ahead. He came into tonight with a .241 batting average but .276 xBA and given how he performed against the Tigers, we could see that average continue to tick up after the All-Star break. • Keibert Ruiz hits long home run in loss
Keibert Ruiz went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer on Tuesday against the Mets.

Advice: The Nationals offense came alive late against the Mets bullpen after being stifled for seven innings by Jose Quintana and Ruiz made this a game with his ninth inning blast. Overall, it’s been a disappointing season for Ruiz who’s sporting just a .599 OPS as we approach the All-Star break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:01 pm

    • Luis Rengifo dealing with right wrist inflammation
Luis Rengifo has been diagnosed with right wrist inflammation after visiting a hand specialist.

Advice: There was some uncertainty surrounding Rengifo’s status after he landed on the injured list last Friday with right wrist inflammation. However, it appears that he isn’t dealing with any structural damage that would’ve led to a lengthy absence, and possibly even surgery. Nothing official as far as a timeline goes yet, but it seems like he’ll be back at some point in the next few weeks, if not sooner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:06 pm

    • Taken off IL, starting Tuesday
The Giants reinstated Snell (groin) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Snell wrapped up his second IL stint of the season with a dominant rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, when he gave up just one walk while striking out nine over five shutout innings. Tuesday will mark Snell's first start since June 2 against the Yankees, and across his six major-league starts this season he has a 9.51 ERA and 1.94 WHIP across 23.2 innings. To make room on the 26-man roster for Snell, the Giants optioned left-hander Kolton Ingram to Sacramento. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:05 pm
