    • Plates four in high-scoring win
Rooker went 2-for-5 with a two-run double and a two-run home run in a win over Atlanta on Saturday.

Advice: Rooker extended the Athletics' lead to 8-3 with his 421-foot blast in the fourth inning with Max Schuemann aboard, and he then erased a 9-8 deficit in the sixth by bringing home Miguel Andujar and Schuemann with a timely two-bagger. The pair of extra-base hits pushed Rooker's total in that category to 24 (out of 49 total hits), and he's now reached safely in 12 straight games while getting on at a stellar .388 clip in that span. • Belts two homers in victory
Alvarez went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three total RBI in a 5-2 win against Minnesota on Saturday.

Advice: Alvarez kicked off the scoring for Houston with a two-run homer in the first inning and added a solo shot in the fifth. The pair of long balls matched his total over his previous 30 games combined. Alvarez has hit safely in 13 of his past 14 games and is batting .377 (20-for-53) during that stretch, though he had only two RBI during that span before Saturday. • Launches 14th homer
Harper went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and three total runs scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Harper provided the Phillies with extra breathing room, taking St. Louis reliever John King deep in the seventh inning. Over the previous 10 games, Harper took a small step back, batting .257 (9-for-35) with three home runs and seven RBI to close out May. Following his second consecutive multi-hit game, he's batting .276/.381/.538 with 14 homers, 44 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases over 54 contests this season. • Strikes out 10 in loss
Gray (7-3) took the loss Saturday versus the Phillies, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 over five innings.

Advice: Gray reached double-digit strikeouts for the second time in 10 starts this year, but he received little run support after a shaky first inning. The right-hander has allowed at least four runs in three of his last five outings. For the season, he's at a 3.00 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 77:15 K:BB over 57 innings. Gray is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rockies. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm

    • X-rays come back negative for Ranger Suárez
X-rays on the injured thumb of Phillies’ left-hander Ranger Suárez came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

Advice: Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson told reporters that Suárez is still dealing with some swelling in his thumb but that the team feels fortunate to have dodged any serious injuries. He’s slated to take the mound against the Mets next weekend in London, but it’s still unclear whether or not he’ll be able to take the hill. Fantasy managers should be sure to have a contingency plan in place for next week in the event that Suárez isn’t ready in time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:56 pm

    • X-rays clean, unsure for next start
Suarez's (hand) X-rays came back negative Saturday but there's swelling in his left thumb and it's unclear if he'll be able to make his next scheduled start, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Fantasy managers can take a deep breath knowing that Suarez avoided significant injury after being hit by a comebacker during his start Saturday. While it's uncertain at this point if Suarez will recover in time for his next start -- which is scheduled for June 8 -- the 29-year-old is expected to avoid the injured list after Saturday's scare. He's been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, boasting a 9-1 record with a 1.70 ERA across 74.0 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:27 pm

    • Harper hits 14th home run in win Saturday
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, a walk and a two-run home run against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Harper’s 14th on the season. He scored all three times he was on base and broke the game open with a two-run home run in the seventh inning to put the Phillies ahead 6-1. Harper’s average is up to .276 with a .919 OPS. He now has 44 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm

    • Gray strikes out 10 in loss Saturday
Sonny Gray allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss in the Cardinals’ 6-1 loss against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Gray gave up five hits, walked three and struck out 10. The Phillies jumped on him early scoring three runs in the first inning. Gray was mostly in charge the rest of the way allowing only one more run and recording 10 punch outs. His 77 strikeouts this season put him inside the top 15 for starting pitchers in all off baseball. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rockies at home next week. • Ranger Suarez leaves start with left hand contusion
Ranger Suarez was pulled from Saturday’s start against the Cardinals after being hit in the left hand by a comebacker.

Advice: For now, the Phillies are calling it a left-hand contusion, so it sounds like the 28-year-old southpaw was fortunate to have avoided any serious injury. Prior to exiting, he had worked two perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts. It doesn’t sound like his next start should be in jeopardy, but fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status over the next couple of days just to be on the safe side.
