    • Works off mound
Gallen (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Gallen began throwing off flat ground Saturday, and Tuesday marks the first time he's thrown off a mound since landing on the IL with a strained right hamstring. Manager Torey Lovullo said the 28-year-old righty is slated for another bullpen session Friday, after which he will likely progress to pitching sim games before returning to Arizona's rotation. • Yields one run in quality start
Harrison allowed one run on four hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Monday.

Advice: Harrison had just nine whiffs and three punchouts in the outing, but he kept the Astros off the scoreboard until the seventh frame. The left-handed hurler finished with his second straight quality start and allowed fewer than three runs for the first time since May 7. Harrison hasn't given up more than four earned runs in any of his 14 starts this season, though, helping him maintain a respectable 3.96 ERA despite a mediocre 1.33 WHIP and 68:22 K:BB across 77.1 innings. • Kyle Harrison strong for six against Astros
Kyle Harrison surrendered one run over six innings Monday in a no-decision against the Astros.

Advice: Harrison went without walking a batter for the second straight outing tonight and lowered his ERA to 3.96. There isn’t much mixed-league value here yet, but he’ll get there eventually if he continues to lower his walk rate. Rotoworld Monday, 11:05 pm

    • Logan Gilbert gets no-decision after quality start
Logan Gilbert was left with a no-decision Monday after allowing three runs in 6 2/3 innings against the White Sox.

Advice: Gilbert struck out eight and walked none. The Mariners have struggled mightily to score runs while Gilbert is in the game, but they did score eight after he left to win tonight. Gilbert is just 3-4 in spite of a 3.19 ERA and an 84/20 K/BB in 90 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Monday, 10:44 pm

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Gilbert allowed three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: Gilbert got through five scoreless frames before Luis Robert tagged him for a two-run homer in the sixth. The righty hurler returned for the seventh and gave up another run on a pair of hits before being pulled with two outs. Though he faded over his final two innings, Gilbert tied his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign and finished with his fifth quality start over his past six outings. However, he hasn't earned any victories over that stretch despite posting a solid 3.52 ERA. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:51 pm

    • Earns seventh straight win
Rodon (9-2) earned the win against the Royals on Monday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Rodon cruised through the majority of the game, with a two-out RBI single by Freddy Fermin in the seventh inning being his only blemish. While Rodon only struck out three, he generated 14 swinging strikes and didn't allow any extra-base hits. Each of Rodon's seven consecutive wins have also been quality starts, and he has now completed at least six innings in 10 of his 14 outings. He owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB on the season and will look to continue his win streak against the Red Sox on Saturday. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:04 pm

    • Carlos Rodón picks up ninth win Monday vs. Royals
Carlos Rodón allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Yankees’ 4-2 victory over the Royals on Monday.

Advice: Rodón gave up five hits, walked none and struck out three to collect his ninth win of the year and lower his ERA to 2.93 in the process. The 31-year-old lefty hasn’t been the big-time strikeout artist from previous years, but he’s reinvented himself this season after a poor Yankees debut last year. The 31-year-old left-hander is set to face the Red Sox on the road this weekend. Rotoworld Monday, 7:51 pm

    • Making noteworthy progress
Blackburn (foot) has shed his walking boot and is expected to begin a throwing program this week, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Although the right-hander remains without a timetable for return, this news is naturally encouraging. Blackburn isn't expected back before the All-Star break, considering he may need a full-length rehab assignment whenever he reaches that stage of his recovery. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:19 am

    • Records just four outs
Montas (3-5) took the loss Sunday against the Cubs, allowing four earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two in 1.1 innings.

Advice: The right-hander never found his footing Sunday, loading the bases in the first inning and surrendering a bases-clearing double to Ian Happ. Things didn't get much better for Montas in the second inning as he allowed an RBI single before exiting with runners on second and third. Those runners did not come around to score, but Montas was highly disappointing following a dazzling performance at Coors Field last week, when he recorded nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings. The 31-year-old currently owns a 4.55 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 44 strikeouts in 55.1 innings, but his inconsistency makes him a high-risk, high-reward play for fantasy managers. He will look to rebound in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:09 pm
