    • Belts 10th homer Friday
Langeliers went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and two walks in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Advice: It was such a miserable offensive night for the Athletics that Langeliers' 421-foot blast came with Oakland just one out away from being shut out. The backstop is hitting a stellar .368 (14-for-38) with four home runs and 13 RBI across his last 11 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:57 pm
    • Jhoan Duran allows winning run to Guardians
Jhoan Duran gave up an eighth inning home run to José Ramirez and took the loss on Friday night.

Advice: Duran entered this game tied in the eighth inning against the top of the Guardians’ order and allowed the game-winning run. It would’ve been interesting to see how the Twins managed Duran had he got through the inning cleanly: he’s yet to pitch more than an inning this season and hasn’t thrown more than 18 pitches. • Emmanuel Clase locks down Twins for save
Emmanuel Clase worked a clean ninth inning and struck out one Twin to tie the league-lead with 13 saves.

Advice: Clase has been unhittable this season allowing just one earned run across 22 ⅓ innings. He’s changed up his approach, throwing more cutters and working outside the zone more often. It’s generating significantly more chases. He’s firmly one of the best closers in baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:46 pm
    • Tagged for nine hits in loss
Fried (3-2) took the loss Friday against the Padres, yielding three runs on nine hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Fried turned in his worst outing since allowing seven runs on 10 hits against Arizona on April 6. The Atlanta lefty generated a measly four whiffs over his 88 pitches as the Padres lineup had his number all night. Fried will look to bounce back in his next start, slated to come against the Cubs in Chicago. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:10 pm

    • Jeremy Peña hits three-run blast in win over MIL
Jeremy Peña hit a three-run homer to help the Astros to a 5-4 win over the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: Peña came up huge for the Astros with a three-run homer off Freddy Peralta that gave the Astros their 5-4 lead in the fifth inning. The shortstop has enjoyed a strong first six-plus weeks of the season, as he’s gone deep five times while slashing .326/.364/.469. This is the version of Peña fantasy managers were hoping to see in 2023. So far, so good in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:55 pm

    • Freddy Peralta allows eight hits, five runs in loss
Freddy Peralta was charted for five runs over five innings while picking up a loss to the Astros on Friday.

Advice: Both Hunter Brown and Peralta gave up all of their damage via the long-ball in this contest, and in Peralta’s case, he gave up a two-run homer to Jake Meyers and a three-run blast to Jeremy Peña. Outside of those blasts the right-hander was mostly effective, but damage done. It’s the second time in five starts he’s allowed at least five runs, and a 1.90 ERA on April 19 has ballooned to 4.17. He’ll look to get back on track against the Marlins next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:55 pm
    • Locks up 13th save
Clase picked up the save Friday against Minnesota. He pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.

Advice: Clase required only 13 pitches to retire the side in order. The 26-year-old is riding a streak of eight straight scoreless appearances, allowing just one hit and one walk with seven strikeouts and five saves over eight innings. Clase remains among the game's elite closers, sporting a 0.42 ERA over 22.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 pm
    • Brandon Marsh delivers RBI double in win over Nats
Brandon Marsh walked and delivered an RBI double on Friday night, helping to lead the Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Nationals.

Advice: Marsh drew a walk off of Jake Irvin to lead off the second inning and ultimately came around to score on a wild pitch. He then smacked a run-scoring double off of Irvin in the third inning that extended the Phillies’ advantage to 4-1. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .248/.309/.429 with six homers, 23 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 40 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:00 pm

    • Brandon Lowe (oblique) could return on Monday
Brandon Lowe (oblique) could be activated from the injured list and return to the Rays’ lineup on Monday.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger will restart his minor league rehab assignment on Saturday and is set to play games on back-to-back days at Triple-A Durham. If all goes well with that, he’ll be cleared to rejoin the Rays for Monday’s series opener against the Red Sox. Lowe has been close to returning before, only to suffer a setback and require some extra time, so we’ll believe it when we see it. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:07 pm
